this sounds super interesting. hopefully Todd can redeem himself from his latest flops by collabing with Queen Julianne again.

Me thinking this was going to be a lesbian drama featuring two women that are far apart in age :skull:

no it's about julianne moore being a pedo of an asian kid and we see their life 20 years later

based on Mary Kay Letourneau

the casting is a little weird though. charles melton is 32 and the actress of his oldest kid in the movie is 25.

Charles Melton going from CW’s Riverdale to Cannes and then to Oscar season would be hilarious. His Austin Butler serve.

i was wondering about the exact ages, and per THR julianne moore pedo's a 13 year old.

i wonder if the director felt comfortable making the film since mary kay passed the year before the movie was announced.

The acclaim :clap3:

seems like Portman, Moore and Melton could all be in the conversation for Oscar nominations :duca:

All 3 leads were terrific. Overall thought the film was very good.

The movie was excellent and the leads were all amazing. Very nuanced and dark - I thought it was gonna be more campy, although I'm glad it isn't

I have a feeling this will become a gay classic

Incredible movie. All three leads are astounding and it's so subtly complex and layered that it's probably even better with another watch.

Felt like a Black Swan but in a different context. I really liked it. Natalie Portman continues to be my favourite actress. Julianne Moore is exquisite.

They particularly nailed the complexity of the actions of the characters. They felt 100% real.

There's a lot to blur the lines between reality and fiction. I also loved the duality between both leads and the idea of twins constantly coming about. It's very evocative and strong in its delivery.
