Angelo Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 2023: Avril still signed to a record label, still touring sold out shows worldwide, out-streaming Kelly Clarkson lead singles and releasing punk rock streaming hits while Nelly Furtado is …. I don’t even know what happened to her. Why is that?
Carla Rosón Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 She tried harder whereas Nelly seemed to stop caring about success after TSI

Gorjesspazze9 Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Because she was bigger and has more longevity 🤦♀️ why y’all always ask the most obvious questions?

I was just two days ago on her sold out show in a German city. How can someone be irrelevant while having a sold out arena tour? ;)

I also meant irrelevant on the charts. The op tried to make it seem like she was a thing in 2023
Mitsuki Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Hasn't Avril always been bigger? What is so shocking about this?
Iceland Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 And don’t forget she’s involve in several scandals this year!!!
Alldeezy Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Nelly stop caring, after Loose I guess. love them both though.

She took years to follow up with Loose and it wasn't the best material either. And if she did care about commercial success she could have tried to do a re-release or new album with an undeniable smash but she left again and then just went more and more indie.

brenda-walsh Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 this is such a random comparison lol but avril was always bigger and had the much bigger peak. nelly stepped out of the limelight after doing Loose and never cared about getting commercial success

Riot Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Loose is still getting 1M+ streams daily and Gen Z stan her songs on TikTok, so Nelly won in the end
mylicious Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Where? She is not charting and is not authentic anymore, she lives the rapper babe life but her music is still marketed as punk rock? Like .. Nelly will have a big comeback, I can feel it.

The irrelevant artist didnt sell anything she couldn't even break the top 100. We will see June 23 Kelly is a big name celebrity in 2023. Avril is known for nothing more than dating a Jenner ex
bestfiction Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 Avril had more hits, has been more consistent throughout her career and has a more supportive fanbase
ProudLBS Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 what a random comparison Nelly’s first album did okay, her second flopped and then she hit the jackpot with Loose and stopped trying
