discussion Is it a good idea to have an LGBT country?

I don't know about if it's a good idea to put LGBTQ+ people in one single piece of land but there was a similar thread a year ago and I'm just gonna copy paste my pitch:

 

1. No guns policy, Bi/Pan people O.K. unless they pursue a cis-het relationship, then they’ll be persecuted and wait for deportation/trial to appeal. 
2. Tourism allowed only if they buy this country's Pop Girl of The Year's newest album/song and show receipts and/or digital voucher.
3. Gay Icons welcomed every day of the year, possibility of getting a citizenship even if in heterosexual relationships. 
4. Jobs/Careers will work the same way other continents do, exc.; Starbucks Barista will be deemed as a formal profession with normal salary and corporate-like bonuses and insurance. 
5. The Hunger Gaymes happen every 6 years, (This country's FIFA World Cup substitute); LGBTQ+ people will compete in a death match, where they’ll participate in catty fights to prove their musical fave is This country's Next Top Super-Popstar. The winner will receive a year worth of jockstraps and toys (courtesy of Adam & Eve), an exclusive restraining order from their musical fave & $1,000,000 dollars! (or whatever monetary coin they use)

Are y'all forgetting the L's, B's and T's of the alphabet mafia/rainbow coalition?  Unless you all assume the country would be split among each group, which is what I hope this would not devolve to (but might be asking too much from the "community" knowing certain occurrences, historical and current )

A country with only gay MEN is feasible actually.  It would help us a lot unlike some other members claimed here, we would get actual representation in the international politics.

It's an interesting idea, but being LGBT is mostly not hereditary, so the idea wouldn't last past the first generation. It would be much better to see LGBT acceptance in more countries since that could survive many generations into the future.

Well, i take it the "smell" you ask to imagine has something to do with gays being the only citizens of a hypothetical country .

I honestly am kinda over the idea of being at the mercy of status quo and majority rules in cis-heteronormative countries. Yeah sure, we definitely should continue to fight for rights where we are, but we also deserve a homogenous state/nation like a lot of groups have. Also, a LOT of countries have said a resounding NO to change & now it's endless gaslighting & "defending our culture from the west."  Its honestly going to take a long time before they come around + religion would have to fall too. 

 

Also, I know there's a way around the unique population hurdle. There definitely should be STIFF penalties and otrasizing for any display of anti-LGBT, or even discrimination in general, that would undo the whole purpose of this country. So even if the population end up becoming mostly straight after like three gens, they'd be super tolerant at least. Basically, as long as the country is marketed as a safe haven, especially for LGBT from anti-LGBT countries, then that could be taken care of.

 

I'd be happy if we just get a whole city tbh (that's DEVOID of corruption, crime & homelessness, so San Francisco & ATL don't count ). Could start off as a resort city & expand as a mecca as time goes on.

Theres literally one LGBTQI* born every second. There wouldn't be a shortage of citizen, I think.

But I Wonder what would happen to the hetero children? Maybe they could be allowed to live there until 18-or around 22 and then move to the real world.

 

I live in germany. So everything is good for me BUT I would move go gayland in a heartbeat.
