Morgan still having 2 top 5 albums though :toofunny3:

Yeah, the metrics need reweighing. You know something doesn’t feel right when an album with 128k SEA has the potential to be beat out by an album with only 3126 SEA. It’s one thing if the SEA is inline with all the other albums, but that 3k SEA total is significantly lower than pretty much everyone else in the Top 50. Not deserving of a #1 in my opinion.

I love jack and has been a fan since 2019 but he literally killed his momentum by how shitty his last album is, even with a massive number one hit 💀. Thank god he’s stop the selling out era phew.

as much as that user claims to not be racist, his post history really says otherwise. He never really shows his face unless Morgan Wallen and his racist fandom are sitting at #1. He stood out to me a couple of years ago for his country and rock support which really is thinly veiled racism but anyways :deadvision:

OP: if it wasn't for the onslaught of debuts lover would be #7 and folklore would be #11 :dies:

I won't be suprised if Morgan will be #1 on BB200...

I'll sit this one out

Well, that's interesting.

We'll see how this plays out but I'm sure Seventeen has it unless they get some of streams removed.

WTF? The BB200 was a sales only chart till December 2014. So how could/would downgrading sales impact in the BB200 formula make even the slightest bit of sense???

People complaining about first week sales and fan bases buying their faves new music are straight up dumb tbh :rip:

I don’t have a problem with sales counting on the BB 200. The problem I have is that they carry too much weight. An album with 3k SEA should not be challenging an album with 128k SEA for the #1 on the BB 200. It’s pretty clear that Morgan’s album was the most listened to album of the week, and the BB 200 should reflect that.

Excellent numbers for SEVENTEEN

I hope this isn’t going to be a repeat of Kill Bill week where everyone was paranoid Billboard will come to Morgan’s rescue.

Besides Morgan will just be back at #1 next week since Ed doesn’t seem much of a threat, unless there’s another K-POP surprise we don’t know about. Also he’ll still be #1 on the Hot 100.

OK 1st of all I messaged 2 moderators in advance, having learned your cat & mouse game of attacking me personally then crying like a baby & get me penalized to mods & admins when I attrempt to defend myself. For that reason I waited till today to reply. As a Gen-X Christian who doesn't like "approved ATRL" music, yes, I'm usually targeted & antagonized in ways others on here aren't. A few years back another ATRLer I'll leave unnamed got the boot for having unpopular views. He was more abrasive than me but people on here did push his buttons till the point ATRL banned him. I'm going out of my way to try & avoid his fate. AND I want this to be the VERY LAST TIME  I defending myself cause I don't like your music genres. I would really like my ATRL time with discussing charts not Morgan Wallen's behavior from years back & how he has managed to rebuild his fan base. I really prefer talking about Music Charts over ideological/political issues, and there's already a separate ATRL base for this. And I REALLY want to get away from politics on here as much as possible.

To begin with, you have some nerve for calling me a "RACIST" for "liking" Rock & Country music. At one time I had a column on a website where I tracked the MB Active Rock, Alternative, AAA & Country Charts. For that reason I chose those formats as favorites. This may come as a surprise to you but Gen-X doesn't care for rap music. When I was the age for those on this website, I did like NWA, Too Short, 2 Live Crew, Geto Boys, 3rd Bass, Public Enemy among others, and later enjoying some Dr. Dre, Snoop Dog, Ice Cube, Eminem & others thru about 2000. On top of that I actually liked Urban AC during this time frame. But after that, I lost interest in Rap/Urban/Hip-Hop. This has absolutely NOTHING deal with racism & EVERYTHING to deal with personal preferences. Since I covered those until the website shut down that's what I like.

Secondly, I joined ATRL in April 2014. Since that time no Rock (except some AAA, not sure G4U counts) or Country songs succeeding at County radio have come anywhere close to #1. As a result I have limited my ATRL contributions to music chart discussions & providing chart history to those looking for it. Active Rock, my very favorite hasn't produced a #1 song since Nickelbacks "How You Remind Me" in 2001-2 & we really haven't had a huge AR hit since 2008-9 Shinedown's "Second Chance," & the last semblance of Active Rock to succeed with a Top 10 Hot 100 hit. Those on here remember me hoping Disturbed's "The Sound Of Silence" cover would actually get big but mainstream radio wouldn't touch it.

Morgan Wallen is NOT my favorite Country artist, though I do like him. So my interest in Last Night reaching #1 is as much for historical reasons than anything, since LN is the 1st Country song to reach #1 on the Hot 100 while #1 on the Country Airplay chart since October 1983's "Islands In The Stream" by Kenny Rogers & Dolly Parton. I began following Billboard in July 1984 & When Doves Cry was #1, just a few months AFTER IITS was #1. So, yes, having 1 of my favorite formats/genres #1 on the Hot 100 #1 in this extremely rare manner does make me happy. And, despite what you seem to think, I really DO NOT like "Stan wars."

Also, Wallen's "Thought You Should Know" hits VERY close to home after everything I dealt with in late 2022-now. Because of everything in my personal life since last August, I've had much more pressing issues to deal with than being on ATRL as much as I once did. So if you hadn't seen me as much the last since last August before LN competing for #1, that's why. As I'll say again, which you have obviously ignored, a significant majority of my posts actually STILL relate to chart history & data; NOT LN/One Thing At A Time. If you've refused to read those replies since it doesn't fit your "agenda" here then that's your fault, not mine. And before moving on, just because I can't stand Biden & Democrats doesn't mean I like Trump & Republicans any better. Believe me, I don't! Both are truly awful individuals & very old men who do not deserve to be POTUS ever again. I know some people wrongly assume I like Trump/Reps cause I don't like Biden/Dems.

Yes, what he did was wrong & apparently Morgan Wallen could/would/can/will never do enough to satisfy some ATRLers. But without giving a lengthy rehash from an earlier post, there are those on here who like artists that offend me. I just chose to keep quiet. Because as much as some of yall want to "cancel" me I don't want to mute your voice cause I think it counts & should be heard. And I'm not angry 17 got 1 #1 week BB200 this week & Kill Bill got 1 H100 2 weeks; though clearly some on here are furious at Wallen's BB200 & H100 chart runs.

Finally, I abhor acism, bigotry, etc. discrimination. And I don't like religious discrimination. But I do loathe blasphemy against ALL religions, NOT just Christianity, most of all. I know many on here dont like that but it is what it is. I don't want to try & change you, so please grant me the same courtesy. And, NO, I offer no apologies for my views, so don't expect 1.

Now, can/may we PLEASE move on from personally attacking me for preferring Rock & Country music as a racist, since clearly some of you dont like my genres & because I'm not "woke"? I would REALLY like to talk about music charts not what ATRL deems "controversial" artists. AND I'll try & make sure discuss Wallen again outside of objectively discussing his chart feats. That's a significant majority of my posts anyway, whether you choose to read them/believe me or not.
