I also find the word used to describe gay men almost equally offensive to the n-word. I was about to amend my comment. Now let's get back to chart discussions since that's the reason most people are on ATRL.

A “blasphemous” term about a magic wizard in the sky being more offensive than the n-word :deadbanana4:

But it’s okay, you queers on ATRL, he also finds the eff-slur offensive too! But still less than goddamn!1! :deadbanana4:

Yes, stanning gone too far as if Morgan's album is going to be less successful if it lands at #2 instead of 1 again.

I think the swifties are probably concerned about him breaking some record that only they know about which is why they go so hard in these weekly threads about it.

Glad it's close, though

Nah. Just dislike for Morgan

And I really wouldnt know any Taylor record that he would be getting close to.

I love the total weeks at #1 on the BB200 she has, but he is obviously still very far away from that

Yeah, I’d be willing to bet that if the shoe was on the other foot and Morgan was the one with 3k SEA/TEA with a chance to block their fave, they’d be screaming for the rules to be changed.

No album with 3k SEA/TEA should be anywhere near a #1. It isn’t 2011 anymore.

And which album is bringing in wayyyyyyyyyyyyyy more revenue this week :celestial5:

No, there’s no record we’re concerned about, most of us just don’t like seeing a racist succeed. Weird take on your end.

I know…. People still listen to country music in 2023? Not even being shady but I didn’t even know it was still a thing

Don’t think shady is the “s” word you need to worry about coming across as lol

Yeah, the revenue from people buying the album 3 or 4 times (and probably never actually listening to it). They need to cap the number of purchases counting towards the BB 200 to two at the most.

WTF? The BB200 was a sales only chart till December 2014. So how could/would downgrading sales impact in the BB200 formula make even the slightest bit of sense???

I’m not sure, which? Do you think revenues would be the most pertinent financial metric for this chart? How about profits?

Regardless though, per Billboard, “The Billboard 200 chart ranks the most popular albums of the week in the U.S.”.

Its obviously Seventeen. And idk mixing sales and streams will always be a bit clunky.

Germany has a revenue chart for example. Idk If thats better or not.

Meh, I don't like it when albums have almost zero sales and remain in the top tier forever

You neither know me nor anything about me. I have been on ATRL for now over 9 years and have always supported Rock & Country music. The fact I would rather have a Country &/or Rock album #1 over KPop has nothing to do with races &/or racism. The fact so many people on here are so blinded into thinking this about those on here who prefer not to have KPop #1 on the BB200 is beyond absurd & reflects very poorly on them, not me & others who like & support Rock & Country music. Believe me there are many actions & behaviors from artists some of yall "Stan for" that thoroughly offend me. But because I'm an adult who doesn't believe in censorship I don't & won't judge those supporting artists exhibiting what I & many others out there find offensive.

No, Wallen shouldn't have used the n-word. I do agree with this. In fact the only thing I find more offensive than the n-word is G-- D---. The slur used to describe gay men almost equally offends me. If you actually knew me you would know this & it plays a part in why I won't listen to rap. But judging him, everything about him & those who like his music on what he, admittedly, shouldn't have said in his drunken stoupor clearly exhibits an absence of cognitive skills needed to survive the real world. Grow the hell up, because, like it or not, very little of society revolves around the hopeless & immature wokeism & counter culture vividly espoused by way too many ATRLers. Believe me as someone who is old enough to be a dad to most people on ATRL I speak from experience.

You remind me of one of my internet friends on Facebook. I was like 10 and trading items with them on pet society and said 'omg' and then they later said it was really offensive and told me to never use it again and apologize. :bibliahh:

No, I just don't think it's right to counterargue by throwing something that could be considered offensive, which you are clearly aware that you are doing it maliciously.

Just as we no longer have to deal with the BTS stuff now every week we have to deal with people who can't get over their individual personal feelings to focus on the charts (the purpose of these weekly threads).

Le sigh

Let me tell you right here and now that I genuinely could not care any less about someone finding goddamn more offensive than the n-word, because hoooooboy does that say more than they could ever know

Let me stream Seventeen to knock the racist off the top :bird:
