My delusional ass thought that Morgan was cancelled because of that last minute concert cancellation and lawsuit. Fleetwood Mac, ADELE, etc are also doing just fine. Why would that “cancel” an artist? Cancellation doesn’t exist btw https://youtu.be/szybEhqUmVI
Sscorpionn Posted April 29, 2023 Posted April 29, 2023 Idk who y’all are but please end that that rat for me Seventeen
brianc33710 Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 After Metallica couldn't beat MW I want him to match/beat Drake Scorpions 13 weeks. When MW does get beat I want it to be by a Rock artist, not some K-pop act!

Clearly MWs voice was almost gone. He was relying more on the crowd to sing to get him thru. He wasn't shitfaced drunk despite what that (now formerly) employed security guard said.

Cancel it way earlier then and not 2 minutes before the starting time

brianc33710 Posted April 30, 2023 Posted April 30, 2023 I believe the Academy of Country Music (ACMs) awards are this week. That would/should give MW a boost before the tracking period ends. He performs at the ACMs & will probably win awards too.
Renan90 Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 TOP 20: A TIGHT BATTLE There’s a battle brewing for #1 on Friday’s HITS Top 50. Morgan Wallen has held the top spot for eight consecutive weeks, but his One Thing at a Time (Big Loud/Mercury/Republic) is now in a dead heat with Pledis/Geffen’s SEVENTEEN. Both entries are projecting to just under 140k today. Watch this space for further developments. Three other new releases seem poised to debut inside the Top 10, Jack Harlow’s Jackman. (Generation Now/Atlantic), Eslabon Armado’s DESVELADO (DEL) and The National’s First Two Pages of Frankenstein (4AD). There’s a lot a congestion this week so look for some things to move around ahead of the final chart. https://hitsdailydouble.com/news&id=335794&title=TOP-20%3A-A-TIGHT-BATTLE
ALA Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Omg y'all give the album a stream it's 20 minutes Would be so happy if they could get #1
family.guy123 Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Flop. Just let Dangerous overtake it already. It’s the last innocent album he’s released anyway
family.guy123 Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Can someone calculate how many times the top two albums are being listened to this week? *using the assumption that 50% of physical copies remained unopened (I know that study referrerd to vinyl, but whatever) and also the assumption that all streams are paid for and also the assumption that the people who do open their physical listen to it once per day Morgan: 2.5k physical, 133k streaming: ((1,250 * 133000)/36) + (2,500 * 7) = 4,635,556 times 17: 67.5k physical, 3k streaming: ((1,250*3000)/6) + (67,500 * 7) = 1,097,500 times feels like I did something wrong lol. Oh well!

Oh well! Yeah, they really need to re-weigh these things. Streaming needs to count more. It's a joke that an album with ~3k SPS is anywhere close to competing with an album that has 133k SPS. OTaaT is clearly the biggest and most popular album of the week. Fans massbuying the Seventeen album doesn't change that.
family.guy123 Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 (edited) Here are the calculations with the assumption that all streams are free and that every physical copy is listened to twice per day Morgan: 5k physical, 133k streaming: ((3,750 * 133000)/36) + (5,000 * 14) = 13,924,167 times 17: 135k physical, 3k streaming: ((3,750*3000)/6) + (135,000 * 14) = 3,765,000 times Edited May 2, 2023 by family.guy123
Tekken_Guy Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 (edited) Yeah, SEVENTEEN has this, I'm afraid. K-Pop albums have pretty much always outperformed HDD projections and if they're tied right now that's ballgame. Unless Billboard really puts its foot down on mass buying albums. Morgan will have to take a week off leading the Billboard 200 like SZA did when TXT released. He should have no trouble staying atop the Hot 100 though. Edited May 2, 2023 by Tekken_Guy
TrieLz Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 Didn’t Morgan sell almost 150k last week? this week he drop to 138k
Feanor Posted May 2, 2023 Posted May 2, 2023 'Midnights' 'Lover' and 'folklore' being so stable… just insane. And yes, that's quite the drop for Morgan. Maybe he's finally slowing down…
