SEVENTEEN(Pledis/Geffen) 130-140k
Jack Harlow (Generation Now/Atlantic) 40-50k
Eslabon Armado (DEL/Ingrooves) 40-50k

There’s a battle brewing for #1 on Friday’s HITS Top 50. Morgan Wallen has held the top spot for eight consecutive weeks, but his One Thing at a Time (Big Loud/Mercury/Republic) is now in a dead heat with Pledis/Geffen’s SEVENTEEN. Both entries are projecting to just under 140k today. Watch this space for further developments.

Three other new releases seem poised to debut inside the Top 10, Jack Harlow’s Jackman. (Generation Now/Atlantic), Eslabon Armado’s DESVELADO (DEL) and The National’s First Two Pages of Frankenstein (4AD).

There’s a lot a congestion this week so look for some things to move around ahead of the final chart.

Guess another week at #1 for Morgan by a pretty small margin :gaycat6:

I think Seventeen actually has a chance :rip: hoping they do it. Would be hilarious for them to beat Morgan instead of 2 BTS solo albums

pull thru, seventeen!

(though i've never heard of you)

jack expected to do worse than his 2020 debut album...

If Morgan gets a similar drop to last week he'll do 140k this upcoming week:jonny2:pls

Posted

Last week he had a bigger than usual week cause the previous week it was tour impact

Morgan is probably at 145-150k, seventeen could pull it off if their fandoms realize it's actually close.

But there is clearly a possibility as HITSDD didn't mentione morgan predicted at #1 this week as they did in the last 8 weeks

Do they? I believe this is the equivalent article for Jimin’s week. No mention of Morgan

If Suga couldn’t do it why would Seventeen?

He is on its 9th week in a row, can somebody dethrone him already?

Yea cuz the last album was trash and he just dropped this with no lead single promo. But the reception of this one is way better. The hiphop community is reacting to it very well. So expect better longevity of this one instead of the last or even the 2020 album.

I don’t see them doing any better than Suga honestly. If Morgan does more than 140k he should hold on. Otherwise they’ll have a shot.

Because I've heard and read that, unlike Suga and the rest of BoTS members, SEVENTEEN are talented, which is actually not that hard to believe considering BoTS is the reference.

Seventeen just broke BTS’ record for most pre-ordered Kpop album (this is for outside US obviously, mostly Korean/Chinese sales). Considering that and the fact that groups always do better than soloists… it’s really not that shocking tbh. They were also #6 on IFPI’s top artists of 2022 list, so they were already huge. In fact I’d be more shocked if these numbers don’t increase quite a bit :celestial5:

I’m not a fan of them or anything but definitely Kpop groups and even soloists are going to start collecting US #1 albums with ease, I think.

Wait. We are y’all saying Morgan is going to be #1?

My delusional ass thought that Morgan was cancelled because of that last minute concert cancellation and lawsuit.
