the fact that this illegal blockade has been going on forever at this point just because the Cuban people refused to let their country be used by the US' rich people as a prostitution and gambling haven.

That rapper, Tekashi 69, was actually just in Cuba for a couple of days. He stayed with a family for a few and then started handing out 100 dollar bills to everyone  I see more travel to Cuba among celebs and influencers. Hopefully something gets done.

Cuba is proof of sanctions not really working. They’re intended to starve populations into throwing out governments we don’t like in favor of ones who support our hegemony. Thus far, they’ve never worked out that way.

Honestly, when countries like Cuba that now even allows same-sex marriage has sanctions over it, while countries like Saudi Arabia has none, it just put it into perspective how political sanctions are.
