Can't wait! Float is a bop so I'm excited :duca:

Great title! :duca:

Glad to have this tea, I was beginning to wonder if she went back to the drawing board after Float deservedly bombed.

Hoping for more pop/rnb vibes like Pink / I Like It / Make Me Feel / Screwed

This and I hope Float and anything resembling it is scrapped.

praying that it's nothing like her the stuff she's been putting out since 2018

Kinda worried tbh. Janelle has been pushing Float like CRAZYYYY so I have a feeling it’ll be on the album but idk

and if Float is anything to go by…..lord

Perched. Let me finally dust off her book and read it. :coffee2:

Great title. I'm perched even though Float was really meh. But if it's on there and the worst song of them all that's fine :fan:

Honestly there’s a lot of stuff that could work alongside the sonics of Float. It isn’t even that far off from Dirty Computer. With some tweaks it could go between Screwed and Django Jane, or somewhere in the I Got The Juice - I Like That - Don’t Judge Me run.

The bigger issue is that it’s lyrically weak and just a boring lead.

I'm here for a concept album as queen always serves.

Float completely destroyed the value of her music. Such a dud of a song. I’ve loved everything else by her so I have a little hope left.

Honestly, this. I’m so confused why people think it’s different.

I feel like she's been gradually watering down her sound with each album post ArchAndroid. On the one hand it makes her more accessible and she has the talent to be engaging regardless of what she does, but what really made her special for me were her high concepts and dense/abstract soundscapes. I fear we'll never get to experience musical odysseys like BabopbyeYa again

even Dirty Computa is boring and lifeless compared to Metropolis/ArchAndroid/Electric Lady... I know artists evolve but I really want her to return to that concept so bad...

She has musically fallen off so bad
