Like yes, she has done voiceover and soundtrack for an animated/kids film before but like she has an empire now, the excuse (or coping mecanism idk) for not having an album is cause she's too busy but now she has time to do this?

 

I was gonna drag the franchise/brand as being subpar but the 2011 film did more than 500 million so that's not bad, there is a market for this.

 

I really like the songs she made for Home, they were cute bops but I am going to need her to come with something more appealing to all audiences (a la Happy / Can't Stop the Feeling even if I hate those songs) and snatch another Oscar nom.

 

I don't think her voice was suited for a teen girl in Home so hopefully she is a better fit for Smurfette, I assume now that she is a mother she stopped smoking (or at least it's not doing it as often).

 

I still think she should've called Disney for a role on one of their animated movies, although they have been having flop after flop so who knows.... maybe this was the smarter move.

 

And please.... do not let the movie era clash with a new album era, it is still hilarious that the movie came out one day AFTER ***** Better Have My Money
