One is the opener and another one is the closer

Both climb rapidly, organically on Spotify with today's update, Cruel Summer, a 4 year old track being at #62 with almost 1,8 mil streams

On another hand, Karma from her latest album, Midnights, without being pushed by any playlist, sitting at #141 with 1,27mil streams today

One summer, 2 potential hits

If you were Taylor, which one would you release as summer single?

Cruel Summer doesn’t need to be a single anymore when its an already VERY known track. Let it be what it is. It actually creates even more hype for TS discography the fact that a known-single is as known as Cruel Summer is

I always found Cruel Summer mega overrated.

But I found Karma catchy and it was one of my replayed songs from Midnights.

this.

OT: CS wouldn't perform better than Karma and now it's Midnights moment to shine

Cruel Summer should remain an album track. It makes it even more special.

Cruel Summer is gonna hit 1B all by itself it really doesn't need anything, a video would've been cute at the time

Karma is a god!

She should playlist tf out of both but only push Karma to radio imo.

Karma is bottom 10 in her discography. Cruel Summer is top 10 :swan:

I think CS would've been bigger if pushed during the Lover era, but she should go for Karma now.

I wish Karma all the best and I hope she proves me wrong, but I don't see it ending bigger than Cruel Summer

Karma >>>>> Cruel Summer

Karma is a top 10 discography highlight and those who get it get it!

Cruel Summer, Don’t Blame Me, Enchanted, If This Was A Movie… gosh, she really needs to hire someone to choose her singles :shakeno:

Whichever one has charted in a non-English language country on Spotify will have potential.

don’t blame me blew up everywhere for example

it already is though. better peak on the hot 100, more weeks on the chart, more streams at this point of its run, more audience on radio…

Ig Karma is better for Midnights era to go on

Cruel Summer is superior, it has bigger potential by far, but it wouldn't make sense to release it as a single four years after it's release, so I guess she should go with Karma.

Cruel Summer is already outperforming Karma and Cruel Summer was released in 2019
So clearly Cruel Summer; also the Karma lyrics are too camp for the gp.. its just not a good single choice

Cruel Summer is the better song but it’s from an old album, just release Karma
