He is like the oldest Guardian reviewer and if you go back to his publications from the 00s he was straight up misogynistic towards female artists, especially female groups. But overall he is known for giving 3/5 to some great female albums like NFR, Magdalene, Dirty Computer, ANTI, High As Hope, Caprisongs, Plastic Hearts, Planet Her and so on
