This is so beautiful, she really took the original which was already perfection and didn’t try to outdo it or anything like that but just put her own little “flavour” on it which is amazing, perfectly done which no one else could have minus the original Jodi herself.

 

ive had it on repeat all morning and I’m even more hyped for this film than I already was!

I went to the first audition in New York, and they were very warm and very kind to me. They asked me if I wanted to sing or act first, and I was like, “I’ll just sing first because I feel I can get all the nerves out.” So I just remember singing and closing my eyes, and then when I opened my eyes, everyone was crying. And at first, I was like, “Oh, no! Did I do something bad?” And then I quickly realized that it was good.

See, something I think is always difficult for singers who take on iconic songs is walking the line between making it their own while honoring the elements that make said song so beloved. Halle did just that. There's enough distinction through her tone and melisma without abandoning the hallmarks of Part of Your World. She sounds gorgeous

From the small clip from the trailer, I got the feels, now in full, it is just a beautiful masterpiece. Now no matter how many times I listen to it, the tears come. I can now only imagine seeing it in theaters, and having it all come together. It may be a full on cry session, and the hard part is going to be holding back from applauding in the theater. Lol

I am STUNNED by how beautiful her voice is and how she took a song that’s beloved by many and made it her own without losing the songs identity.

That’s the reprise! She sings that part after she saves Eric.
 

on another note in case anyone is curious, this version is the studio soundtrack version so it won’t include the environment sound effects that you will hear when you watch the film.

The original is my favorite childhood Disney song. I never imagined that anyone could top it, but Halle proved me wrong. She took the song the another level. 
 

Halle was perfectly cast. Ariels distinct characteristic which makes Eric fall for her is her voice. For anyone complaining that Halle is miscast, quote me with someone who has a better voice suited for Ariel.
