Yes, practical effects inspired by the sci-fi b movies of the 1950s. They did it all by hand with puppeteers and stop-motion.

Staryu Posted August 30 Posted August 30 It's RT score is currently 75%~, rotten vs. fresh, 9 are rotten, 24 are fresh right now, 35 total.
Memoirs387 Posted September 7 Posted September 7 I had a good time. It definitely has some issues with the script, like there are 1400 storylines happening at once but overall, it was a great time. Happy to be back in the Beetlejuice world. 2
Hector Posted September 7 Posted September 7 This was so much fun. Visually, it was amazing and had so much classic Burton touches. The musical moments with MacArthur Park & Right Here Waiting were great touches. Hoping there's a third movie. Jenna Ortega & Willem Dafoe were great additions. 2
qurl Posted September 7 Posted September 7 this managed to disappoint me despite all i wanting from it was to be a fun, silly, colorful sequel … idk felt like it could have used more of the whimsy from the original film, it felt too sanitized :/

killer_rose Posted September 21 Posted September 21 Came in with big expectations especially when the first movie is a CLASSIC. Well, I was so bored...Jenna playing her Wednesday character ENOUGH! Monica Belluci's character being completely disposable.
shark_heather Posted September 23 Posted September 23 "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice," is the No. 1 film at the domestic, international and global box office for the third consecutive weekend. Tim Burton's spooky sequel has added $17.2 million from 76 international territories, bringing its overseas total to $103 million. The Warner Bros. film has surpassed the $300 million mark globally with ticket sales currently at $329.7 million. "Beetlejuice Beetlejuice" has been the lone bright spot in an otherwise sleepy September at the box office.
