barbiegrande Posted June 19, 2023 Posted June 19, 2023 Season 3 was the show’s peak, with 4 right behind
illia Posted June 20, 2023 Posted June 20, 2023 (edited) Finally finished season 6 Joan Is Awful - A very cute intro! Nothing more. The final twist felt very lazy, as if the writers couldn't come up with anything smarter 6/10 Loch Henry - Now that was amazing! I don't care if it was too predictable - I really enjoyed it 8/10 Beyond The Sea - YESSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!! Undoubtedly the best episode of the season I could tell what might go wrong at the beginning but that ending... Oh wow, oh wow 10/10 Mazey Day - It's definitely an episode that exists... When I thought nothing could beat Metalhead as the worst episode of the show, here comes Mazey Day 2/10 Demon 79 - Such a boring snoozefest Absolutely HATED it but the demon guy was very funny and hot + the ending is very sweet 4/10 Edited June 20, 2023 by Flomik

The episode was a bore tho
Bimbo Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 After just finishing ep 2 I can say this is the worst season Whoever new got on board: your writing is CORNY. Stop it. Also the decision to focus on this “meta” Streamberry is the worst. None of us own a streaming company, the shock of digital common life is gone.
BizarreWizard Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 (edited) Just saw a TikTok mentioning that the opening credits for Demon 79 feature Red Mirror as the main show title, which could be an Easter egg for a new project. It’d make so much sense for them to launch this as a spin-off horror series in the future, which would explain Mazey Day and this episode’s inclusion on S6. Edited June 21, 2023 by BizarreWizard
Roberto Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 How is the Beyond The Sea twist predictable? I knew something bad was gonna happen but I wasn't expecting that. Spoiler I guess the kid being hit when he ruined the drawning gave us a clue.
Dula Peep Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Oh my god this was by far the worst season ever. I was expecting a twist on the last episode that all these episode were on the Streamberry service because wtf did any of these have to do with technology which is the entire point of the show.?!??
Blue Rose Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Beyond The Sea was boring and the ending was stupid. Every episode was trash. This show is over
flower moon Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 i just finished beyond the sea and thought it was pretty well done. Spoiler although i thought the one guy was gunna kill the other and use his body. the acting definitely elevated the ep tho.
Blade Runner Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Beyond the Sea had me until that final twist. So lazy and dumb. It was an interesting, complex, and difficult subject, but I guess they wanted a shocking (and unearned) moment. So bad.
Bacardo Royale Posted June 21, 2023 Posted June 21, 2023 Overall I found all the episodes entertaining but Joan Is Awful Started off promising but then somewhere in the middle it got ridiculous - even the dialogue was cringe at points, it turned into a parody of a black mirror episode. Loch Henry Loved the creepy twist, the acting was great but was it intentional for Pia to be so unlikeable? it was almost satisfying to watch her die the actress that plays the mom was the star of this season, she totally ate up that role Beyond The Sea People are saying the end was predictable but I think a lot of us expected David to kill Cliff so he can have Lana to himself, I didn't expect that twist at all Mazey Day This episode had me on the edge of my seat for the most part, so I'm shocked to see most people hated it Demon 79 Although I enjoyed this episode, I feel like the most interesting character was the racist guy running for office, there was a lot of untapped potential there. The boney m demon felt out of place like salma hayek in episode 1, when black mirror does comedy it ends up feeling like a parody

It was an interesting, complex, and difficult subject, but I guess they wanted a shocking (and unearned) moment. So bad. I feel like there's multiple interpretations of the ending. The obvious one is that he killed his family. The other one is that David only recreated the scene of his own family's murder with paint. A theme of the episode was that he paints off of memory. We never see any bodies, only paint. This would also explain the absolute last scene, where it looks like Cliff finally has gained an empathetic understanding of what David lost (and the meaning behind "you don't know what you've got until it's gone"), instead of taking whatever he saw out on David. Roberto Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 About Loch Henry. It was good and I guess the VHS thing is the link between the BM concept and this episode, but I don't know. I didn't find the twist that predictable, like some of you said. Spoiler At some point, I thought the killer link would be the bartender's dad, especially with his attitude during the episode, but maybe that would have been even more predictable. I was fully gagged tho. Spoiler Pia dying in such a random way. The fact that the mom probably wasn't gonna kill her because she ended up killing herself yet she still ended up dying. The fact that if she didn't insist in making the documental about the murderer and just making it about the eggs guy, she wouldn't have died. The Streamberry producer saying to the actress: "we need a Pia for the series" with Davis right behind her.
ATRL Moderator khalyan Posted June 22, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted June 22, 2023 I haven't watched the last episode yet, but Beyond the Sea was by far my least favorite of the first four episodes. Very long and had the most predictable ending out of any of them.
ATRL Moderator Bloo Posted June 22, 2023 ATRL Moderator Posted June 22, 2023 I’m on the demon episode now and this season is so bad. I don’t know why they chose to incorporate supernatural elements to the show. The only episodes that felt remotely interesting were Joan Is Awful and Beyond the Sea, but neither stuck the landing. The latter was extremely predictable and flat. Mazy Day dethroned Metalhead for the worst BM episode.

Outlaws Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 I'm thinking of watching the whole show but I don't know if it's worth it. I watched like a couple episodes back then and I remember liking them. I might do it, though.
The Witch Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 Why Loch Henry kinda stomps on most horror movies released this year? @Leptine @Reverse Warholian
satellites.™ Posted June 22, 2023 Posted June 22, 2023 Beyond The Sea was so good, I think I saw the twist coming though, for me the gag wouldve been to have him kill the guy and then FORCE the wife to be with him since he's in his body.
FreeXone Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 Liked all of them except loch Henry and mazey day 1
D/X Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 (edited) Loch Henry > Joan Is Awful >>>> Beyond The Sea >>>>>>>> Mazey Day >>>> Demon 79 Loch Henry and Joan Is Awful felt the closest to past seasons. Beyond The Sea was long and more dramatic, but still good. Mazey Day was absolutely underwhelming. The way they had a brilliant concept but ****** up so bad trying to develop the story. And Demon 79.... wrong show lmao. Like this isn't Twilight Zone. And unnecessarily long. I felt that they tried so hard to do something "different" and not fall for "predictable" current technology themes (like AI, crypto, metaverse, etc.), and instead delivered half-baked stories detached from the original Black Mirror concept. The Witch Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 This season is giving AHStories. Beyond The Sea is the only episode that felt Black Mirror'd
Kern Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 I just watched Joan Is Awful and thought it was pretty cool, I just don't undertand why did they made this show so goofy
Babydoll. Posted June 24, 2023 Posted June 24, 2023 beyond the sea and loch henry are the only ones i'd maybe watch again. idk how some of the stuff this season even relates to technology and its consequences but hey... they still got my stream i guess lol
flower moon Posted June 25, 2023 Posted June 25, 2023 Mazey Day was not even a BM episode... what show was that episode for? wrong genre. 0/10
