But why?

Several reasons, most of which were covered in this thread already.

Mostly related not to the Dominion suit but instead, former producer Abby Grossberg's recent sex discrimination lawsuit.

Tucker Carlson, Chris Cuomo, Don Lemon, and Ron Desantis need to go make porn together. That's all they're qualified to do.

I actually think this will only make him bigger and he probably do a podcast or something and be even more unhinged.

Not even. All are foul-looking. :rip:

All of the pro-Kremlin propagandists like Glenn Greenwald are melting down because Tucker was their only chance to appear on mainstream cable news TV.

The Abby Grossberg accusations are probably more than just sex discrimination that has been reported but actual harassment.

That's the only plausible explanation I can think of here.

@Brishka Yeah, my theory on weighing pros and cons and negotiating with him for show changes are now out the window.

Whatever happened to Glen is really sad. IDK what happened but his beliefs did a complete reverse. lol

From a Vanity Fair article from two weeks ago about Rupert Murdoch:

Quote

Murdoch and Smith had planned to marry this summer. He proposed with an 11-carat diamond engagement ring said to be worth upwards of $2.5 million. Then, a little more than two weeks after rolling out news of their engagement, the pair abruptly called it off. One source close to Murdoch said he had become increasingly uncomfortable with Smith’s outspoken evangelical views. “She said Tucker Carlson is a messenger from God, and he said nope,” the source said. A spokesperson for Murdoch declined to comment.

Whole thing is worth a read

Who'll garner the same following? And for how long given cable news is dying?

The same argument could be made of Hannity and Laura's influence and hypothetical replacements - but they aren't, for a reason.

You thought you did something here. Weird.

And was telling me that celebrating someone fired from an industry that's "dying" anyway supposed to do something? I swear some of y'all use your foreheads to type instead of your fingers.

Fox ain't losing viewers, and even if... who says this dude won't just go join Shapiro or NewsMax and boost their veiwership... or start his own thing and make a bunch of money from those who are still loyal to him? This is the internet age. His reach is as wide as he needs it to be.

And now for some...other takes. Some parts of which I agree with and others that I don't.

The horseshoe theory hornet's nest of a debate between the neolibs and progressives on this site regarding these individuals I won't get into.

This is why i cannot take these idiots seriously. Tracey is a troll and he knows it so i don’t really mind him but Aaron and Glenn are morally inconsistent. Those things that they mention are literally like 0.1% of Carlson’s show, the other 99.9% is pure hatred and horrible stuff.

He does have a huge following but it'll be interesting to see how much of it carries with him into his next venture. Such plans didn't really work out for Bill O'Reilly, Megyn Kelly or Piers Morgan when they were forced to restart their respective careers off the station they originated from.
