If Fearless and Red were the reason, she would've pulled those numbers in 2021 and 2022. Not in 2023. Berore saying something dumb, do your research Umm I’m sure those records contributed as well in 2023 as they’re most recent records. These numbers don’t belong to midnight only.

Taylor is just catching up to her. Rihanna has 9 albums and multiple collaboration Taylor has 10 albums.

Counting the re-releases as new albums is dumb because they don't perform as well as new albums and they take streams from her past albums.

Why are we comparing a digital era to streaming? also Rihanna’s albums were never massive in numbers during the digital era

Both Love Story and YBWM would be doing 1m+ if not for re recordings Re recordings at the end of day just contributed 25% more as both original albums were doing over 2m+ in 2020. So with natural and tour growth they would be around 4m now So as said a 1m+ growth

Those records are probably bigger than some new ones around.. am not complaining and I love Tay, she is massive, but I do believe these streaming numbers are milked considering the amount of albums she released. The more albums, the more numbers obviously
Klein Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 I know I'm not seeing a Rihanna stan trying to discredit Taylor's accomplishments because she releases music regularly.
JawBreaker Posted April 23, 2023 Posted April 23, 2023 Rihanna stans and their bitterness towards Taylor's success is something else OT: I remember wishing for 30m streams daily last year and now shes doing 70m

Which is extremely difficult. Drake also releases a lot, but... Oh and the 2 re-recordings have done 750 million of these 6 billion. And, like it was mentioned, they hurt the original versions quite a bit.
