Intuition Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 It's been almost a week since Kelly Clarkson released her double lead single from her highly anticipated comeback album Chemistry. She has the benefit of a daily talk show, is a judge on The Voice, and a lot of media attention because of her divorce. Yet, neither of the songs are charting anywhere in the world on Spotify or Apple Music. Mine currently has 1.7 million streams on Spotify and Me a disappointing 800k. What went wrong?
Josh Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 People are just tired of the same ol' same ol' from her she doesn't bring anything interesting to the table and she hasn't since My Life Would Suck Without You
smoore95GAGA Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 The songs sound like outtakes from MOL, straight up. Haven’t had any interest to revisit them since my first listen
Smarticle Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 We already had Kacey trying to milk her divorce

Rev8 Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Dont think anyone thinks of her music dont think anyone has for several years (from what I even heard, her last hit happened thanks to a sad story?) but she has passed the 10 years threshold, in which artists kind of give up (+she probably has a 20 years career, so that's even more..) but..did u make this thread because of that one Kelly stan?
livelikemusic Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Ageism. She's not from a streaming generation, and radio is simply not behind her.

glacier76 Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Her ex is not famous enough. He is too much of a loser.
Reginald Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 We want "single, sexy, and free" vibes a la Flowers. The adult contemporary genre is stale. Give us Miss Independent 2023

toxicgenie Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 hmm I don't know. Maybe her casual fans are waiting for the physical copies?

Eclass Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 A backlash for her annoying personality in that talk show.
smoore95GAGA Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Stronger is the kind of album that I’m not sure if I’m meant to listen to or wipe my ass with
Bonicap Posted April 21, 2023 Posted April 21, 2023 Nothing went wrong, this is just her current status on streaming. I'm sure she'll still sell physicals though.
