PopKills Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Katy & Gaga are actually iconic for their music, not their image or whatever
Yakult Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 (edited) Spotify streams don’t make a classic album bfr. Those albums are doing massive numbers because they have multiple hit singles, not because they are regarded as great bodies of work. Katy & Gaga aren’t touching Beyoncé when it comes the acclaim her albums have received & the impact they had. Edited April 20, 2023 by Yakult
FENTY. Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 I am surprised IASF isn’t receiving more streams. It has a lot of songs and big hits

Her recurrent streams are horrible in comparison lmao. She only has one song that pulls similar numbers to several of Gaga’s and Katy’s classics.
Brikenbur Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Because Beyoncé doesn’t make music cheesy / GP-catered music in the likes of The Fame, Teenage Dream, 1989, etc… you’re comparing a primarily R&B singer to the likes of white female artists who make Pop music solely. Sure, Beyoncé has had countless crossover hits, but, R&B streaming numbers don’t pull like Pop or Rap even.
Yeppi_Yeppi Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 the GP simply loves good music while hasbeyn's discography is rotting
lonnie Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 All this means is that Bey's hit singles are more spread out on several albums/her old hits aren't getting as much recurrent streams for some reason tbh. I don't think the measure of a classic album should be the amount of streams it gets anyway.

Most importantly ATRLs obsessions with daily streams will ignore how fluctuating and ever changing trends are. Songs which have been dead for a decade (BTW) will randomly have their highest day of streams in 2022. Songs like Beautiful Liar/Deja vu will suddenly repeat because a quick viral moment etc. If you wanna judge a classic, look at it's success in totality, not a sudden moment in time.
Johnny Jacobs Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 Oh wow Having only one album to brag about Oh wow A win no doubt..

This site will take one metric of success, daily streams for example, which is nice and all, and make it the end all and drag whoever they want with it. Bey already had great recurrent streams not that long ago (I remember the days 4 was doing great numbers and on par with Talk That Talk/Unapologetic at some point), but just as you said daily streams are too dependent on what people like at the given moment to be the only measure of some work being a classic. Me, Myself and I might not be getting as high or great recurrent streams as some songs right now but it certainly has greater claim to being labelled a classic. Plus what's a classic in one part of the world/demographic isn't necessarily a classic in another.
FSXP Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 (edited) An obvious failed attempt at trolling considering TWOTW, Survivor, DIL, IASF, ST, and Lemonade are all ingrained in pop culture. Destiny Fulfilled, B’Day, and 4 harbor many cult R&B/HipHop classic hits and are beloved and classic albums in their home genre. With signature hits such as Lose My Breath, Irreplaceable, Love on Top, and Run the World. & that leaves Renaissance which is clearly already a beloved electronic/dance album. Congratulations to Gaga & Katy though for their classic albums that harbor most of their signature hits. Maybe they can outgross Beyoncé on tour with those classic albums one day. period sis Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 So you admit Gaga's only "classic" album is her debut, then fell hard after.
JonginBey Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 One is rotting away on a competitive show that severely declined around the time she last had a successful album, and the other peaked within 5 years of hopping in and only remains a topic of discussion because white gays finally found a pop girl since Britney Spears that gave a little something in her prime and cling on to her for the sake of arguing “see, look! I do have a talented fave. I can be pretentious!” Beyoncé isn’t worried about you lying on a forum. She’s too busy rehearsing for what will be potentially her biggest tour, performing classics and recent hits.
Jjang Posted April 20, 2023 Posted April 20, 2023 (edited) Bey still has overall more streams despite debuting 10 years earlier. Trends change and so do daily streams, Bey might get a mega trendy TT hit herself from her old catalog like BTW had. it’s all random. Ren outsold all of gaga’s last three studio albums. If you release classic albums they chart. The same can't be said about Beyoncé's music And yet Gag hasn't had an album spending more than 52 weeks on chart since The Fame talk about classic album. BTW barely passed that. Thank you Superbowl!! Thank you Netflix!! Thank you Wednesday. Various artist album don't count though.

Beyoncé gonna have the last laugh when Act 2 and 3 is released unlike others, she's still relevant.

Beyoncé has over 20B streams on Spotify.. the others don’t. Katy Perry’s career been over for a decade hence why she’s a tv host now.. move around

Beyonce has more overall spotify streams than whatever Olympic level mental gymnastics you just went through to discredit her Gaytrl will forever remain pressed than no matter how hard they try, most of their faves are never catching up to Beyonces overall career
