Dula Peep Posted April 17, 2023 Posted April 17, 2023 it's wild to me when my friends complain to me that they didn't get their bonuses this year... like if the company lost money you're not gonna get extra money, that's just how it is but then again it's also the companies fault for telling them that a bonus is guaranteed ..or making them believe that its guaranteed you should never plan out your finances with the expectation of a bonus tho

The same chairs people were upgrading for their new Home-Office lifestyle. Also, no biggie, the CEO gave herself a bonus of 5+Million, all while she tells employees to "not think about bonuses, but how to make 20M more to the company". Sympathy is always non-deserved for major companies with thousands of employees.

I get humans are innately greedy but there has to be limits AT SOME POINT lol.

Gaia Posted April 18, 2023 Posted April 18, 2023 On one band bonuses are not a right but a privilege and are based on company expectations (if you exceed you get a bonus, if you underperform you get nothing or less percentage) my company underperformed and I got a 65% bonus and I was soooo mad. But then I realized most people don’t even get genuine bonuses to complain that I didn’t get a full $12k bonus Bonuses are a general way for your staff to feel appreciated. So even with a high salary, I still felt cucked because I felt under appreciated after a long 2022
