He is not exactly a household name outside of the internet.

He's not a celebrity but he's a pretty well known musician with Millennials & Gen Z

The fact that he is able to sell this much with NO promo, NO mainstream singles, NO videos, NO radio airplay, NO social media. :clap3:

Both albums are still charting too.

I think the only song that got radio play in his entire career as lead artist was Thinkin About You:rip:

Right. Imagine if he actually served a MPB era. :duca:

Anyone that regularly listens to R&B knows Frank ocean. If you don’t listen to black artists often you wouldn’t. Not even being funny

i wonder how many copies he's sold in the us.

half a million or so?

What? :rip: Frank Ocean is huge among Millenials and Gen Z.

I don’t know what sort of lame boomer circles you’ve been in, but in my experience he’s pretty universally liked and played by people my age…

Some of y’all are SZA’ing Frank like you did before SOS dropped. Frank has been charting like crazy with his records and his old song Lost became a huge internet hit just two years ago way past release. When he drops he will be doing great numbers, because his stuff became REALLY popular by word of mouth in the last few years and people have been expecting it

He 100% could but that will never happen because he can't be bothered to promote his stuff.

This would have been a perfect time to drop a lead single today and announce the album drop next week on the Coachella livestream
