No one believes in a pokemon living in the sky. this is such a fallacy and a typical atheist strawman used to discredit belief in a higher power, which is a very solid philosophical position, and in fact the most innate one. you believe in gravity, right? does that mean u believe a fairy pulls strings to make objects fall down? is it fair to construe everyone who believes in gravity this way? of course not. gravity is just the word scientists use for an unseeable force - we know it exists because we see the effects of it all the time. the same concept applies to God. God is just a word used to describe the unseeable "force" or "causal agent" behind all the different things that occur in the universe.
