Does One Direction have any album that is even close to Fearless in terms of success?

Exactly. I always found so disturbing the way people want to discredit Taylor by saying she's somehow only famous because of men, it's so gross and blatantly misogynistic :deadbanana4:

You can dislike Taylor all you want but let's not go into blatant misogyny.

Nowhere did I say Taylor would never have made it without Harry; I only even brought him up because of some galaxy brained revisionism that Taylor was the one who made Harry a star :deadbanana2:

I wasn't talking about you specifically, i was talking about people in general who have this tendency to reduce Taylor's success to the men she dated. If you're not one of them then it's fine.

You Swifties literally called Britney tabloid fodder when Taylor is tabloid fodder too

If you had better reading comprehension, you would've seen that absolutely no one in this thread denied tabloids write a lot about Taylor. It's just that Taylor has MUCH more going on for her beside tabloids, which really hasn't been the case for Britney since the beginning of the Obama administration :deadbanana2:

But a lot of you are also saying that Britneys entire career was just tabloid fodder.

Exactly. OF COURSE Taylor had a lot of sh*t written about her in tabloids for years but her career is SO MUCH more than that. Right now she's having one of the biggest peaks of her career with Midnights smashing, the Eras Tour on track to become the biggest female tour of all time and her whole catalogue getting unprecedented boost thanks to the tour's success. Britney just can't compare to any of that :deadbanana4:

Who exactly said that it's *just* tabloid fodder? You're just grasping for straws and exaggerating what has been said because you really don't have much of a point at all here. Point is Taylor's career is factually bigger than Britney's. Britney had a very impressive early career, but fizzled out way more quickly than Taylor who managed to stay relevant and successful much longer, still reaching new highs 17+ years into her career. This is pretty evident no matter the kicking and screaming you're doing sis :deadbanana4:

Last album to reach ONE year on Billboard 200:

Taylor Swift - Red Taylor's version (2021, 2 years ago)

Britney Spears - Self-titled (2001, 22 years ago)

Taylor.

Britney does have the video where she shaves her head and the tragic 2007 VMA performance. I'm sure that makes her more "iK0niC" and influential though, so I'll give her that.

Why did this thread reach 10 pages when 80% of people vote for Taylor :rip:

Taylor has critical acclaim, huge tours, longevity, she's never flopped, and her career lasted much longer than 1998-2004 and she was never frontloaded like Britney.

She just co-wrote one song on Blackout and three from Self-Titled era. She is one of the least committed artists in her music. :bibliahh:

Love how you conveniently ignored Britney co-writing 11/14 of the songs in In The Zone, and her being the executive producer of Blackout. Just love it :bibliahh:

Because some Britney stans just keep arguing again and again and again in blatant denial of reality :rip:

I legit don't think there's a single fandom as much in denial as Britney Spears stans. It's like they're COMPLETELY stuck in 2002.

Gaga's career did not exist in the early 2000s, and just as we do not know how she will be by her 8th or 9th album

You said it yourself. Keep it as that until we reached her 8th or 9th album to see her position:cm:

Bloody Mary was released as a SINGLE by the end of 2022. Before that it was just a track (I see you're copying Eternium's arguments), an album track from 2011 could never have accumulated big streams before it became a single.

You could remove the streams that Bloody Mary had before becoming a single and it would STILL be above the single HEAVILY assisted by Elton John.

"HEAVILY assisted by Elton John" is the actual definition of fanfiction, because almost every article that discussed the announcement of this song highlighted Britney as a feature in it, and the fact that none of Elton's solo singles performed well until HMC already squanders this delulu narrative. Just stop for a moment, and tell yourself that "HMC would've been the hit it was without Britney" :bibliahh:

No, you're missing my point. BM had many years of availability on Spotify, as an album cut and its viral push boosted it to 300 million streams. HMC did not have a similar setting and still got 235 million streams. That's literally not bad at all :priceless:
