After that the wet season begins and temperatures usually drop a couple degrees. Also the sun is highest in the sky on April 27, when it becomes directly overhead, after that the sun starts getting lower in the sky. The tropics are kinda weird like that. In Bangkok, the sun is at its lowest angle during the winter solstice (December 21) like elsewhere in the northern hemisphere, however, it reaches its highest position on April 27 and August 16 (90 deg/vertical) unlike the more northern latitudes where the highest sun angle is reached during the summer solstice (June 21).

El Nino is coming which means we're supposed to get a cooler summer. It's actually been a while since we've had a really bad summer heat wave in my area, the heat waves of the 1930s-1950s were worse.

A cool summer here means the average high for July/August will be around 25-26C instead of 27-28C. Winter here was milder than average, especially January and February. Spring so far has been pretty average except for last week when it was much warmer than average with four 25C+ days including one 30C day. We often don't get a single day >25C until May and our first 30C day is often only in late May or even early June.

That's what the past two days were like. Last week was like 6 days straight that broke the daily records or at least came close. The average for this time of year would be 10-15C, and average for May would be like 15-23C. We usually get warmer than 19C though in the summer. Last summer (June-August) the distribution of daily high temperatures were 19-20C: 2 days 20-22C: 4 days 22-24C: 17 days 24-26C: 15 days 26-28C: 22 days 28-30C: 22 days 30-32C: 8 days 32-34C: 0 days 34-36C: 2 days Last summer was pretty average, with daytime high temperatures mostly in the 22C-30C range, eleven hot 30C+ days, and only two <20C days. Some summers we get more 30C+ days, like in 2016 we got 33, but also some summers we get less, like in 2009 we only got four. On an average year, we'd get about 15-20 days of 30C+, so summers are still mostly just mid-high 20s here.

That way you can get some humidity to go with the heat. I like warm temperatures, I can handle 30C quite well, especially in the shade or with a bit of a breeze, but SEA heat can be a bit much.

Yeah, I heard wet season isn’t ideal for SEA travel but I unfortunately don’t have the patience nor desire to delay my travel plans by another 6 months. Afterwards, I’m going to Australia so I think my entire year will be 30-45 degrees everyday

Their winters are really mild though, it's basically like May/September weather by Toronto standards for Sydney and October weather for Melbourne, that's when I visited them.

Yeah, that’s what I heard as well! I’ll be most likely arriving at Oz around their spring time (as their winter season starts in about a month), so I’ll essentially be in scorching hot weather the entire year hahah.
