UnusualBoy Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 So he should be having 3 diamond albums in the upcoming years? Quite impressive.

And with only mainly streaming the time where streaming starts giving bigger units than in the phys era, is coming It already matched the peak of the phys era, only a matter of time until the gap becomes bigger
Klein Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Take Care is such an excellent album. Talent winning.

PoisonedIvy Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Take Care rightfully in first place as his biggest and best album I know that’s right

slw84 Posted April 15, 2023 Posted April 15, 2023 Three diamond albums in the next 4-5 years... will he surpass Eminem or will Eminem have three eventually as well?

Hell even Lover is having better longevity than Drakes albums released at the same time. There is no world where Drake was more dominant than Taylor for the 2010s.

Taylor beats Drake. Album sales.. Taylor beats Drake. Drake May have had more success on the Hot 100 — but he also released 2x the amount of songs as Taylor. Again, the reputation Stadium tour alone was bigger than anything Drake accomplished during the 2010s.

Madonna had the biggest female tour of all time in 2008, followed by another huge tour in 2012 and yet she wasn't even in the top 20 biggest artists in those years 11 weeks at #1 - God's Plan 10 weeks at #1 - In My Feelings 8 weeks at #1 - Nice for What If you think Taylor had a bigger era than this one in the US, you are beyond delusional Taylor being bigger than Drake in 2023 doesn't mean she was bigger than him during the 2010s. What kind of a dumb ass logic is that? 6 minutes ago, sasashite said: Only 1989? Red (2012) and Speak Now (2010) are at 8m+ units as well. Comparing a rapper to a pop star outside the US? Pathetic

Pathetic Yeah, because Speak Now and Red didn't move 1/2m units in 6 years They are actually at +8m but since you can't accept it, let's compare the certifications. 1989 9X PLATINUM (certified in 2017) Red 7X PLATINUM (certified in 2018) Speak Now 6x PLATINUM (certified in 2017) Views 6x PLATINUM (certified in 2019) Take Care 6x PLATINUM (certified in 2019) Scorpion 5x PLATINUM (certified in 2019) Taylor outsold even though his stats were updated later.

Red would have easily been on track to reach diamond if not for the rerecordings (and may still do it because the singles still have decent streams). And none of Drake albums are close to 1989. In terms of albums, Taylor is and has always been ahead of Drake. Edited April 15, 2023 by Axelios

The biggest eras on the Hot 100 songs chart during the 2010s: 1. Teenage Dream 2. 1989 3. 21 4. Purpose 5. Scorpion And that's only Hot 100. If we take Billboard 200 and touring stats in consideration, 1989 washes Drake completely.
