Yup, and she’s obviously been in horrid mental decline for years. Sad part: she’s not even the oldest member of the U.S. senate

She should have retired decades ago.

She should have retired decades ago [100]

I guess if she retired now Newsom can give the awful centrist Schiff her seat and help him coast to a full term next year. Even though Lee deserves the spot (I'd even take Porter before someone comes in here to quote me and whine about Lee's age).

Lee isn't winning because California liberals will flock to the establishment hack for his status as a Trump Impeachment Superstar. She was the only politician to be right about both AUMFs for Afghanistan and Iraq, but liberals never reward you for being right. They reward you for being a swamp creature who is loyal to the party (see Joe Biden who whipped Democratic votes in the Senate for both AUMFs, especially Iraq). Porter isn't winning either for much the same reasons.

Oh I know I'm just living in my delusions for the next year+ just for fun and I get to tell people that replacing Feinstein with someone like Schiff is basically the same as keeping Feinstein's 90-year-old ass in office for 6 more years :fan:

Dianne and Chuck BOTH need to retire. There seriously needs to be an age cut off where you have to retire at a certain age if you're in politics.

Newsom pledged to appoint a black woman to fill Dianne's seat if she resigns, and I would hope that person would be Barbara. But knowing him, he'll probably pick London Breed. :skull:

Anyone over 70 shouldn’t be allowed to serve in any branch of the federal government.

Shove her out the door. It’s time.

They’re right. She’s greedy and needs to step down, she’s mentally not been there for years either. Enough. Go away

Civility liberals really haven’t learned the lessons from when they screamed about “IT’S HER CHOICE” when Ruth Bader Ginsburg CHOSE to stay on the bench after barely surviving cancer. Democrats playing these stupid games with the court is why the people always lose.

It’s almost like they actively want this so they can fundraise and scream “look what republicans are doing”!!!

A smart political party would actively force her to resign right now. Today. There’s multiple circuit court openings and future vacancies that would screw generations of people over even further if they’re not filled before January 2025 (specifically on the 9th, 10th, 4th, 3rd, and DC Circuit)
