The victorious horn line – borrowed from The Chi Lites’ 1970 track “Are You My Woman (Tell Me So)” – sets up Bey’s deliciously delirious antics, and the irresistible oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-oh, oh-no-no refrain and impassioned runs showcase her vocal talent when she stands on her own. But her future husband Jay-Z sealed the deal by delivering his guest verse in the eleventh hour, boasting, “History in the making, part two!” (following their “’03 Bonnie and Clyde” collab the previous year) — and it’s undeniably become one for the books. “Crazy in Love” not only marked Beyoncé’s grandiose, chart-topping introduction as a solo superstar, but also foreshadowed a prodigious love story between two of the most powerful artists of this century — one that’s still being written two decades latter. https://www.billboard.com/lists/best-2003-songs-music/

It was named the greatest song of the 00's over a decade ago, well before the whole conjecture of "being Beyoncé" was conceived, and is perhaps the only song in the entire top 20 (with Hey Ya and In Da Club) that's well-known and or even identifiable to the current generation.
