I mean don’t get me wrong, it’s smart. You have a new generation artist sampling a hit beloved by an older generation - it’s the perfect mix for a new song and arguably confirms its success. It’s just become too tired too quickly and it’s like these artists don’t even care about the true reason they became musicians - it’s just to get a quick (and forgettable) hit now.

It feels very cheap to me personally. I love a good sample but we need a break
