Thickorita Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Does anyone but Meghan McCain actually like her?
Reginald Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 (edited) She is 100% taking money from Republicans to run as spoiler. Our "democracy" is so deeply flawed and broken. Edited April 7, 2023 by Reginald
vuelve88 Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 She’s disgusting. Truly one of the worst individuals in politics.
Helios Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 (edited) She will be gone soon either way. Thats the only good thing I can say about this. Unless.... she switches parties. Edited April 7, 2023 by Helios

Ewan Chaos Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Damn she must have gotten a fuckton of money for this "switching to indie and running against a Democrat to have the Republican win" act (I assume that loser who lost the gubernatorial race recently will run). Hate her.
ClashAndBurn Posted April 7, 2023 Posted April 7, 2023 Congratulations to future Senator Kari Lake I guess.

Nikki's off the short-list as well after her recent bashing as is MTG because Trump's hiring Laura Loomer who hates MTG.

I’m sure Peter Thiel has more than enough funding to let him go for it again.

On a related note, after CCM barely survived (and only because it snowed in northern Nevada, I think Jacky Rosen might be in greater trouble than either Tester or Sherrod Brown. The Latino-heavy states in the West aren’t as reliably blue as liberals would like to believe. Even after the Ninjas nonsense AND the McCain bashing, Kari Lake still almost won.

I have way more confidence in Rosen winning NV than I do of Tester and Brown winning. The NV electorate in 22 was trump +4 and CCM still won. But I don’t have confidence in a dem winning AZ in the senate in 24. Too many Independent voters that cancel out the GOPs advantage over the Dems, that advantage is gone in 24

Tester and Brown held on in a year where the GOP gained Senate seats after Kavanaugh. Rosen is up against demographic forces shifting against her. Perhaps with it being an election year, Biden drives up turnout in Vegas, but eh. Arizona seems lost. Biden might hold onto it, but Sinema’s play is clearly to either knife Gallego in the chest or intimidate him out of the race. She’d have zero accountability to the Democrats if she succeeds in the latter scenario and could actually caucus with the GOP when they take the majority.

It’s enough to be hopeful for NV because of how red the electorate was in 22 in NV, and CCM as was already barely won in 16. She was as vulnerable as it can get, and she won. Besides, the GOP bench in NV is weak, they were grooming Laxalt for that seat for years. Rosens a stronger incumbent than CCM (although her war mongering votes on the Iraq AUWF repeal are……not a good look, so that might change)
