Beyonnaise Posted April 5, 2023 Posted April 5, 2023 (edited) She should rebrand into doing just social media content. She doesn't need the gatekeeping of the stale, dying talk show format when she's so Gen Z as a package. She's hilarious and way better than the crusty old white male talk show hosts, but not cringe like Lily Singh. The show as a whole didn't play to her strengths as a comedian and cultural commentator. Her most viral moments came from shorter clips, that's where she shined. She can parlay what worked into YouTube/TikTok, it'll get way more views than any cable (lol) show. worldwide angel Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 thank goodness i didn't get the showtime subscription. it was the one show that attracted me to the idea despite there also being yellowjackets, homeland, and shameless i hope whatever she does next builds on what works while ironing out the kinks. as much as i love ziwe, the person, the personality, and the show, stuff like her inviting charlamagne and chet hanks was questionable to say the least especially considering how it gave image overhaul teas despite intelligently clocking them for their weird behavior
Uncatena Posted April 6, 2023 Posted April 6, 2023 you know what, good for her. she will probably strike while the iron is hot and get a really good deal somewhere else. apart form Yellowjackets she was the only socially relevant thing Showtime is currently producing.

popmusicisdead Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 there was no reason for this to be on TV. it's like when they tried to make Unhhhh into a 30 minute show.
kishi Posted April 9, 2023 Posted April 9, 2023 She's hilarious and sarcastic. She made her mark. Onwards and upwards!
