So she just announced a small U.S. tour with an orchestra and I got tickets this morning for the Walt Disney Concert Hall. I'm intrigued but it seems to be her style and feel her discography can be very orchestra-based.

She didn't. But she did Madonna's Frozen. 

 

VIP Meet and Greet was a bit of a disappointment. She is not signing anything, there was only 37 of us and only few people (maybe about 3 or 4) had something for her to sign but she wouldn't. The whole experience was very quick. She spent like 20 seconds with each person and about 15 of those seconds photo was being taken. Can't wait to see what the photos will look like. One girl asked her if she could take a photo in a fun way like some different pose and she was almost shocked by that request. 

 

Her team member warned people before hand that they shouldn't hug or touch her unless she initiated it herself. Thankfully we didn't have to stand like 5 metres away from her. Her team member asked if anyone brought Ellie any present that we should give it to her and she'd make sure it gets to Ellie (nobody brought anything anyways) but the way she was saying it was like it would end up in the bin anyways.

 

I love her, and I'm happy I met her but it gave a feeling of doing it just for the extra cash. Very underwhelming. If she's not comfortable doing it (which is understandable), then perhaps she shouldn't I'm sure she would survive without that extra cash.

@Paddy how was the concert itself? 

The concert was good. Maybe I would say it was brilliant wasn't it for the sour aftertaste in my mouth after the VIP experience.

 

Her voice was amazing and she truly was having a lot of fun, she was nice and it was a really good show. Her stage presence is what it is, sometimes she doesn't know what to do with herself but she's been always like that. 

 

I have to say the show was very good. Have I seen better? Yes. But it definitely wasn't the worst show I've ever seen. 

 

During Anything Could Happen she let the crowd sing, the crowd messed up the words a little, but Ellie insisted of helping the crowd was getting a bit angry then she realised she cpuld just sing the first word of each verse and the crowd then got it right. Just little details here and there that perhaps separate Ellie from the top class where could easily be with voice like that.

Which I completely understand, but then she doesn't have to do it. She's not short of money. She has no problem doing signing events in hundreds of stores during the release week but can't sign anything during meet and greet. The difference is that for M&G people already paid and she has the money, during a release week she needs album to go #1 and is selling it that way more. It was a let down. She could have at least sign the few lithographs for people that were there.
