I was about to say, not another D list collab but he currently holds HALF the top 10 in Spotify Mexico :rip:

Good for her (even if I probably won’t  like the song)

I’m from Mexico and I don’t know a single one of his songs but he’s huge here right now

so this might be big for her :duca:

Her new song is picking up in Spain and is doing great, she should let the song do its thing before dropping a new one

Mexico is lowkey moving on from reggaeton. A few months ago you wouldn’t see no Mexican acts on Apple Music nor Spotify top 10 in Mexico. I always notice cuz I listen to the Apple Music Mexican top 100 when I drive and well since 2023 started… peso pluma has exploded. Happy Becky gave reggaeton a break. Me and my sister were just talking about her going this route for a hit in Mexico at least and then it happened. I love it.

she's really leaning into her mexican roots and i'm here for her exploring other sounds other than reggaeton for sure. huge missed opportunity when she didn't drop her latin pop album that would've featued sola, mangu, todo cambio that sounded like a fantastic record

Is it even good?

I’d like to give it a try but I despise the type of music that he makes :doc: (I’m a Mexican myself)

it's different for her and not generic for sure. she's definitely leaning into her mexican heritage for sure. sonically this is moreso his lane. so you may not like it. stream arranca instead.

This is what I’m doing

it jumped to #13 on Spotify Mexico

this is big for her, and the highest she’s been since MAMIII, which hit #1 in the country :clap3:

I hope Arranca starts climbing eventually as well. It’s been getting 450-500k streams daily
