Starshine Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 They're really trying to squeeze every ounce they can get, even during a recession. I'm still waiting on the Savings account feature though. Finance in one app is so convenient and best believe that alone will trap me in the ecosystem for life.

Leptine Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 Paypal is doing this as well after Klarna and other services like those became a thing.

I’ve used this type of service before to split larger purchases in interest free installments instead of my credit card. I’d still pay with my credit card to get the points but then pay it off immediately not to incur interest. So if you are able to use it responsibly it can be a great thing.
Navy4Life Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 I’m an Apple user and love their products but we’re letting them have a bit too much power. They are far beyond a tech company at this point. Time to break it up.

Apple vs Google vs Microsoft will be even more prominent, becoming lifestyle companies and we really will only have few sides to pick. If we think the stupid fanwar between these companies are insufferable now, we're in for a ride decades from here. Your phone, watch, earphones, computer, AR glasses/headset, subscription services, health, finance/banking, smart home accessories, electric vehicles. Also the race in AI.

I mean Google is the worst when it comes to this and Apple is probably the best out of the 3.
fountain Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 What even is the point in Apple Pay in the first place. I genuinely don’t understand.

I use it a lot. much safer to pay with it than with contact credit cards which no requites any password or face verification. and I have all credit cards/company benefits in one safer place.
MadonnasBoyfriend Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 Screw those things. I overused klarna last year and it was so annoying then constantly yanking money out of my account whenever they want to. I owe it but it's still annoying.
