Archetype Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 2 hours ago, kawk said: it actually looks way more iconic now. see how the one before just doesn't pop? the designers did well I feel like the old logo was way too soft and quiet, whereas the new logo is way too loud and in your face. Neither are bad. The only bad logo in their history is the 1998-2007 logo, and maybe the first ever logo (bc it's illegible).
samsclubPRESENTSavam Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 it looks like you'd go to dollar store and wonder if it's truly pepsi or if you've stumbled upon a bootleg case of soda. I don't drink pepsi but they should really bring back one of their older logos from the 70s. the look is clean and classic, would fit in much better today.
Machete Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 Surprised to see the 2008 pans. I loved it, maybe the font could've been a bit better. This new one is too retro. It gives limited campaign rather than actual mainstay.
Into The Void Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 did they change anything? maybe i dont remember the old one lol
Sergi91 Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 The new logo makes it seems like it’s selling hard seltzer drinks

nadiamendell Posted March 28, 2023 Posted March 28, 2023 I like it. It's reminiscent of their best logo (87-97).
Komet Posted March 29, 2023 Posted March 29, 2023 I welcome the return of more retro looking logos, but this one looks like a bad update of a 70s/80s one. The main flaw of this is the typeface imo, it doens't fit the overall look of the symbol at all, those P and S are uglee. It's giving sombody put a random MS Office font as a placeholder and they forgot to change it. The overall art direction looks quite dark, which is interesting. At times it's reminiscent of skeuomorphism and those early 2000s 3D gradients, which is unfortunate as that is the ugliest period of design ever. Case in point - the Pepsi logo from back then looks like **** today, while the one that just got replaced will age pretty well imo. They tried to emulate what Burger King did, but this is much more underwhelming imo.
