i was asking for a banger, but these sound too generic for me. Why I believe the live versions will do much better is because Kelly knows how to tell a story with her voice in the rawness of a live performance e.g. "Piece by Piece (live)" was a much better version than Piece by Piece (acoustic) released after the live, same case for "It's Quiet Uptown". 

 

The studio polishes her voice too much, which then requires me to go and look for something else, and that's where I find myself feeling underwhelmed by the generic melody of the song. I wasn't referring to the lyrical content.

both songs offer different things imo. Mine has an ear worm quality; i could see it being a radio hit. Me is amazing vocally.

"Me" ends so abruptly that I'm hoping it's for a transition into the next song on the album. Otherwise, it just sounds weird. But, all in all, these are solid tracks. I enjoy both of them. Curious to hear what the other songs sound like. The bridge of "Mine" is the highlight for me, though.

I love My December, but if she swapped out a few tracks with something like Mine it would have drastically improved its crossover potential while still following the personal and experimental vision.

I think "Me" is the better track, but both are just quality album fillers. I hope she has a radio hit waiting to go and these are just buzz singles.

I am gagged. These are 10/10 and these are the best pop girl songs since “Happier Than Ever.”
