It's going to compete with Avatar 3? Big mistake

It actually can work. It’s called counterprogramming. A Jordan Peele film has the opposite target audience of an avatar film, so they aren’t actually competitors.

Moreover Avatar 3 will condition the GP to want to go the theater on holidays, the Jordan Peele will probably benefit from that general feeling of going to the movies from the GP. Sherlock Holmes (2009) premiered along with the first Avatar and became a success grossing over $500M because of this.

us was robbed of oscars, nope too

Us would have been a lot better with a more cohesive ending. That sort of shat at any chance it had at sweeping awards

IMO, Get Out is still Peele’s best.

Us felt like he bit off more than he could chew, but the acting performance by Lupita was astounding.

NOPE had the opposite problem, where I felt like it didn’t fully commit to the point it was making.

I'll be interested to see if that actually happens. Nope made 170M with a summer run, which isn't bad but was definitely a decline from Get Out / Us. Most of the counter programming against Avatar 2 failed to provide major competition.

Babylon was bound to flop regardless. Puss in Boots became a hit though.
