Good vs Evil. :jonny5:

No but honestly that is amazing. Especially for low income students in that state. They will be guaranteed at least 2 meals a day. :cries:

The Democrats In Michigan and Minnesotas state legislatures>>>>>their Democratic representatives in Washington (with a few exceptions)

You see what happens when populists and progressives lead?

State party activists had to fight for their majorities on their own because national party consultants thought it was worth 90% of the DNC's time within Minnesota spending money trying to primary people like Ilhan Omar. :skull:

Just search "DFL" on Twitter and you'll see the worst types of DC centrist weirdos talking about people "going too far left!!!" by supporting decent, humanist policies.

These are the kinds of laws that should spread across the country, not the evil child labour, anti LGBT and women laws.

Hope the country grows a backbone and votes accordingly.

All depends on the parties and politicans in the state legislatures. There’s no hope on the national level. Minnesota and Michigan gained Democratic trifectas for the first time in a generation this past November, and they’re taking swift and decisive action. Illinois is passing some truly amazing laws too.

Meanwhile, certain states that are led by neoliberal DINOS like New York, will never do something this based, and then there are the states with GOP trifectas and……yeah

Low income students were already covered under the Federal program. In Minnesota, that is about a third of all students. This covers the remaining two thirds, and will mainly benefit those students with neglectful parents, who have the means of providing for their children, but don't.

This is a disgusting statement. This has nothing to do with parents being neglectful. A lot of families are caught in the middle where they don't qualify for low income programs but still struggle to pay their bills. :ace:

Good thing it'll be funded by taxing those very people who you claim it'll benefit. :clap3:

It's great! Some people are just trying to nitpick about it. But no, of course everyone getting a breakfast and lunch is great.

Universal programs paid for via progressive taxation on the rich are the most progressive and beneficial to society:

So children of neglectful parents should remain hungry then? :rip:

OT: If only this was nationwide :clap3:

This is seriously amazing :clap3: Doesn't seem like it'll be implemented nationally any time soon but here's to hoping
