It's a good series, especially the first few seasons, only season 5 was kind of a bore.

Vanessa Kirby really ate playing princess Margaret :jonny4:

I may have to check it out at some point, then.

i started season 5 this week. It feels.... different. Idk what it is. The first 2 episodes are kinda boring and it's like they don't have much to tell aside from Diana.

Is anyone watching season 6? I'm 2 episodes in and it's quite decent so far

I don't watch the show but I want to know if they really did Diana dirty and if the 'death scenes' are really that disgusting (I read an article about that today). I feel like whatever they would've done, there'd always be critism because of the subject...

Spoiler

They don't show the accident or Diana's corpse. She reappears as a ghost after her death.

Fascinating season,  particularly in how they developed Diana & Dodi's relationship. The fact that his father was basically orchestrating every step of their relationship was :deadbanana2:

Im rewatching season 5 first before watching season 6. But i wish this show wasnt ending..its still so good to me. I wish they had more stories to tell.

Maybe the creators of this can do a white house american president version

Wait

I didn't know this was out already. Netflix didn't even bother sending me a push notification like it usually does for the rest of its flop shows

Dianas death is still such a sensitive topic. I just hate how everything played out for her. Thats why im so glad britney is still with us

Also panaroma/BBC should of been sued for lying to diana to get her to do the interview

Ok i finished the first part of season 6. Its so sad because no matter what Diana was being used by everyone around here. Even when she thought she was in love, it was all to use her.

I cried. I wish she didnt die but i also HATE the royal family

Chilling start to the season :clap3:

Finished the first part and I loved it. Any royal history fans here? How accurate were the events of the show portrayed in comparison with the real life?

The only thing I disliked is Diana's ghost appearing and talking to people in episode 4. Quite tacky and It kinda cheapened the whole thing :skull:

Part 1 of S6 was pretty solid. Started off slow but after Diana’s death, I kept tearing up every few minutes.

I wish they showed less of Dodi and his father after the accident. It just solidified how much of a loser Mohamed was. :deadbanana:

Excited for Part 2. Cannot believe it’s all coming to an end.

I didn't think it was nearly as bad as the reviewers said. I enjoyed it and the car crash episode took me out.

The ghosts of Diana and Dodi felt a bit odd for the show and weren't really necessary in my opinion, but I thought it was a strong start to the season overall. I'm looking forward to the second part but sad that'll mean it's over entirely.

Claire Foy and Vanessa Kirby. :jonny5:

I very much enjoyed this, so I don't agree with the mixed reviews. The ghost parts were fine, but the one with the queen was unnecessary.

I'm already picturing the final scene of the show being Charles' coronation and them reflecting how much longer will the monarchy survive

I feel like it’ll be her walking down a hallway or into/out of a door while the camera stays fixed

I feel as though the Diana stuff has been drawn out a bit too long. Season 5 should've ended with the accident (they could've cut down/removed completely that episode about Mohammed Al-Fayed's life for starters). It's funny because if anything this series has made me more unsympathetic towards her situation. I felt much more of a connection to Emma Corrin's Diana. Now she just seems like a manipulative victim who constantly made things worse for herself (which maybe isn't that far from the truth in all honesty).

I much preferred the focus on the Queen and Prince Philip in series 1 and 2. Matt Smith and Claire Foy were excellent in their roles and none of the other actors have really come close.

It's a shame because this series had the potential to be really great and it's essentially turned into a glorified soap opera.

Not finished watching yet but I just read an article talking about how the paparazzi were taking photos after the crash. Can you imagine how awful that would be for Diana’s last conscious moments? Being unable to move, needing help, and the flashes still wouldn’t stop :cries:

Anyone who thinks diana wanted the fame is crazy. She just adapted to it and occasionally used to to her advantage but she definitely wanted more control of it but could get it.

In the end, the UK media killed her  (or so they say wink wink). Diana was a living angel that just wanted to be loved.

Let’s just say it’s a good thing that this show has come to an end. The first 4 seasons were so strong but the last two…

I liked this season and how they incorporated Olivia Colman and Claire Foy in the mix. I do think the writers were overindulgent with William & Kate's storylines using every romcom trope they could possible. And the foreshadowing with Harry :deadbanana4:
