kweenofxanax Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Currently doing shopping + rehaul of my closet and was curious to see what everyone thinks is a must-have. You can also include items that aren't a must-have but are great or highly recommended additions. 1. For me, it's gotta be a good jacket (various colours). A slightly pricy Harrington, Windbreaker or Bomber is a good investment that'll last you forever depending on how you take care of it. Super versatile and can suit any season depending on how heavy it is. 2. A classic white sneaker. Such a great all-rounder, you can dress it up or down. A big con is high maintenance (keeping them clean and yellowing) but some do like to opt for the dirty, distressed look. 3. A hat (baseball cap or bucket for me) -- It helps especially on days when I can't be bothered to deal with my hair. Also depending on the style, it adds a nice cool factor + youth to your look. So, what are yours?
discosean Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Not a specific shoe since everyone's styles are different, but it is a must to have those one or two shoes that go with nearly all/most of your outfits that make you feel strong, powerful, confident, and sexy.
Lazerbeamz Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Why are yall obsessed with looking like a copy cat of each other like I swear every gay wears a variation of the outfit posted in the OP, throw in a pair of skinny jeans We’re gay, one of the few luxuries we have is an expanded wardrobe option lol
Big Bad Wolf Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Personal style aside, I think everyone should own a good business suit.
Navy4Life Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 Not so much a style thing but recently I stopped using fast fashion brands and went for high quality basics and it changed my life (yes, paying $100 for a basic cotton shirt is jarring at first but it will always look and feel much better). I almost completely rid my closet of all Zara and co. and it’s great.

JoeAg Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 bandanas, berets, jean jacket, rings, hello kitty pins, bisexual flag (or other) pins, doc martens, beanies, earrings

Pacify Him Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 A good pair of prescription glasses and sunglasses for me. I'm beginning to lean on the more (redneck) workwear now tho so a solid belt that completes an outfit makes me so happy. Leather sneakers, or even boots, are so good from keeping your feet dry tho compared to sock sneakers.

Shopping and trying new things can also be tiring as well bc nothing is guaranteed to look good + 95% of the time I do it all online and I end up getting frustrated with the back and forth of waiting a long time for the package to just end up return it. So sometimes I can’t help but keep to the basics💀 I’m in the middle of a wardrobe do-over though to see what I can add. I definitely want more colours and patterns.
Dolce Vita Posted March 16, 2023 Posted March 16, 2023 it really depends on your look. im into the mid 2000s/y2k grunge aesthetic so lots of baggy low rise jeans and cargos, t-shirts with random sayings, trucker hats, sneakers, oversized hoodies, lots of bracelets/necklaces etc. i never leave the house without my shark tooth necklace

Most men's clothing options are extremely limited and people are going to lean towards things that are readily available and don't require extra effort to find. People like the convenience of being able to throw a few things together and have it look decent. Besides even meeting the bare minimum of clean clothes that actually fit, you already look more put together than 90% of the male population
