OT: Finally gave the album a listen today without checking out the singles. Very good album! Always love when my girlies decide to go electro-pop/nu-disco. I can see it growing on me too.

This is good, but could have been better with a little variety. She's drawing from a very narrow pool of sounds and most of the tracks make heavy use of repetition to sell the hooks. In small doses the effect is hypnotic, but it gets tiring over the length of an entire album. I struggled to tell some of the songs apart after awhile, which is a shame since none of them are bad

this is pretty much how i feel after a few listens and honestly this is how i generally feel about Goldfrapp albums. i do really like the sound of this record tho so i’ll keep listening and i’m sure it will grow once i start learning the songs

This sounds excellent. Definitely one of my favourite albums this year. 

If she doesn't call this - The Love Reinvention she is missing a trick.

I wonder if she has recorded any new songs as well ? 

I'm hoping we get a full rework announcement on Friday too.

According to popjustice forum the reworked album is coming out on December 8 and is titled The Love Reinvention.

I bought the original “Love Invention” in green vinyl, pink and white swirl vinyl, CD & Digital (4 times in total already) and never saw this coming and still coming to terms with the fact that it is.

 

So if “I have a surprise for you” reads more like “I have a further expense for you”, it’s apparent why.
