which one ATE DOWNE?

nothing tops the 1st one, all the classics. 2 is amazing. 3 has some duds. the movie is honestly whatever outside of the obvious highlights. forever is the weirdest one, its half career highlights and half bottom of the barrel

Couldn’t have said it better myself! I’m relistening to Miley’s entire discography and decided to include HM, and HM3 has so many fillers :deadbanana2: 1&2 are so iconic and even thought there was some songs I don’t remember (Bigger than Us, You and Me Together), there were still cute. The soundtrack was good for what it was and the other additions like Crazy, Backwards & Broken Road make it more enjoyable. Those Steve songs though :biblio:

Songs like Wherever I Go, Gonna Get This, I’ll Always Remember You & Que Sera save HM4 from being worst than 3.

1 > 2 > Movie > 4 > 3

I feel like 2 is the best, 1 is second and the movie is third.

The Movie has the biggest highlights but 2 is the most consistent.

I LOVE the first soundtrack and pretty much every single Hannah song on it as an essential but objectively there's a lot of studio trickery on her voice because she was so young. There's also all those random songs at the end which leaves us with only 9 Miley/Hannah songs. The second one is also almost entirely composed of essential classic Hannah songs as well. Her voice has developed more so there's less reliance on studio magic (but there's still quite a bit of it ddd). I'd say these first 2 have zero skips from me (not counting the guests on the first one) and I have the most nostalgia for these two. :butterfly: The Movie soundtrack probably has zero skips too but I don't really view it on the same level as the TV series soundtracks because it plays differently.

I think the third one is actually the one I play the most though. Every Part of Me, Don't Wanna Be Torn, Mixed Up and Just a Girl are all excellent ballads (the first 2 are probably in the top 10 or 15 of all the soundtrack songs). He Could Be the One is an obvious classic. It's All Right Here, Let's Do This, Let's Get Crazy (despite being recycled from The Movie) are all great bangerz. I Wanna Know You is okay but a little grating at times, Supergirl is good but stands out as very corny (I know we're listening to soundtracks from a Disney TV show but still dddd) and the duet version of If We Were a Movie never lands with me but I always end the album after the solo version of IWKY anyway. Forever is almost on the same level as this one too but it tends to get a little schmaltzy at times (Need a Little Love, Love That Lets Go, Been Here All Along).

I think my ranking would go: 3 > 2 > Forever > 1 > Movie.
