(for whatever reason, it's happened to a few native canadians before but not native american.) And this + Irishman would be the 2 longest Best Picture nominees in the last 45 years. Netflix + Apple being a bottomless bank for him. They need to start making these long ass movies that are going on streaming anyway 2 parters. There would be fuss about the awards eligibility and that needs to be sorted out, but it would 100% help the numbers and make them feel so much less exhausting and more approachable. No one watches those movies at home in one sitting and no one likes pausing a movie somewhere randomly in the middle.

Donquizote Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 Greta Lee was great in Past Lives. I don't mind if she sweeps TRIFECTA this season Finally a worthy Asian winner
Antisocialites Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 Sandra Huller’s Anatomy of a Fall getting Beat Actress and Sandra Huller’s The Zone of Interest getting Palm d’Or, I see the vision.
Donquizote Posted May 22, 2023 Posted May 22, 2023 Firebrand PANNED by critics Vikander cant catch a break after stealing Queen Kate's Oscar
Kylizzle Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 Not buying that Oppenheimer/KOTFM/any other big project can win BP with the current landscape. Almost certain Past Lives will snatch that unless it's not as good as we've been lead to believe

Donquizote Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 Past Lives is a cute movie with great performances. It will get nominated for BP, but I doubt it will win. The Zone of Interest has been gaining momentum. I think it has solidified itself as the frontrunner to win BP for now.
Donquizote Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 Rooting for Greta Lee, Queen Kate, Sandra, Jessica Lange to get nominated for Best Actress.
Donquizote Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 After Tang Wei was grossly SNUBBED last year, I think it's time for AMPAS to make up their mistake and nominate Greta this year
fridayteenage Posted May 23, 2023 Posted May 23, 2023 mmm, i'm sure netflix will handle with sensitivity a movie about the long term effects of the sexual exploitation of asian children
