Reminder that the two female characters in Oppenheimer is one that killed herself because of a man and another who’s an alcoholic who gave her kid away for a couple months…

And the lead male one killed a bunch of people

Aren’t they based on real people.

Momentum is so high for Oppenheimer, and Murphy + RDJ + Nolan + Ludwig speeches were terrific to boot

people who call Oppenheimer boring need to be assessed for brain damage, it's a thrilling movie!

yeah, i'm not sure if they're purposefully shaming people for being suicidal and having addiction problems...

I was expecting so much from the movie. It was a mess. He's talented though.

Bradley can still upset if there’s a backlash to Oppenheimer.

If Oppenheimer wins BP Oscar as is looking likely, it’ll be the biggest blockbuster to do so since ROTK

It's been out for a long time, it's too big to fail. Critically acclaimed, huge box-office success, prestige topic, actors support, technical juggernaut, leading the race in terms of audience scores, saving the cinema, sold-out screenplay and 4k discs. Yeah, let's face it, it's got everything going for it that it'd be an upset if it doesn't win at this point.

I think it's going to win, but AMPAS might not want it to win in every category.

Yeah, I don't think it'll win everything too with how diverse the Academy is now. Return of the King might be the last sweeper we've seen. Interestingly, that's also the last box-office smasha to dominate so who knows :eli:

Not a box office juggernaut hun, more like an indie hit.
