Komet Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Just watched Society of the Snow and I'm gagged a bit. This should've at least been a major player in the technical categories, I mean - the sound, the score, production design, makeup, cinematography, visual effects, all beautifully done. I know films like this have a hard time breaking into ATL, but I've found it to also be well written, acted and directed; it's very powerful and graphic while still being respectful to the victims. Netflix dropped the ball on this so hard, it's insane. the hotter Adam Driver can get it 1

EnigmaticAndroid Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Also ecstatic to see Samy Burch win another trifecta for her incredible May December screenplay and Haynes popping up in Director
hausofdave Posted January 6 Posted January 6 had a feeling Glazer would win, was expecting Song would at least place tho. Nolan placing doesn’t surprise me at all, idk why so many people are surprised Oppenheimer has high-brow appeal.

Achilles. Posted January 6 Posted January 6 1 hour ago, McNulty said: Still fuming about this No but I’m still so burned by that whole season. Dafoe swept, Metcalf won 3, and Chalamet and Hawkins won 2 each. But then the televised awards started and all 4 critics picks lost to louder performances by more famous people. 1

AFCAs would be fun imo, but we should vote for whoever we want or at least follow some loose shortlist; I don't wanna follow oscars messy noms Edited January 6 by Komet

Liafen Posted January 6 Posted January 6 The way Sandra and Godamund will sweep AFCAs. Fadley not even nominated.
TheDreamer Posted January 6 Posted January 6 Oppenheimer consistently showing up either as winner or runner up in regional, national, online, twitter, and high-brow critics awards. An all-around BP winner if there is ever one. 1
