Imagine if Fantasia snatches a nomination for The Color Purple

H.E.R could also get another Oscar if she does a song for the movie

Does Viola look a bit off in the poster or is it just me? She looks like she was still in Michelle mode.

I would like to see Ms. Hsu in another project besides a Seth Rogen produced 2000s-lite comedy, but that's just me!

ew, ig the title hinted at it but i didn't realize May December was a mary kay letourneau kind of thing.

charles melton (32) and julianne moore (62) are the parents of almost high graduates including gabriel chung (20), plus their older kid played by piper curda (25). 25 is the same age as melton's riverdale co-star kj apa.

i see chung has a tt which includes a video featuring a classic by the greatest artist of our times:

So far at least in the first Q of 2023 I don’t really have a big contender for anything besides John Wick 4 for some technical categories like Sound, Cinematography or Production…

AIR premieres in two weeks here but I’ll wait to see it on Prime, it has some potential to get some acting noms and also script/directing.

I’m waiting on JLo’s The Mother trailer to see if it could get some attention or is a silly Netflix film.

Martin Scorsese’s ‘Killers of the Flower Moon’ premiering at Cannes as well!

I can see Asteroid City get Production Design. If Gene Hackman and Ralph Fiennes can't get a nom, I really don't see ScarJoon-Ho getting nods either.

Good day for trailers! Spiderverse is obviously winning Animated feature, that trailer looks insane. Wonder if they could get into other categories like some famous Pixar movies, since it's so highly revered.

Barbie will be an internet thing, i can't see who that movie is appealing too :eli:

Do we think that Killers of the Flower Koons is gonna be in comp at Cannes? :celestial5:

Posted

I really doubt it, but it seems it's not a problem for Scorsese. Didn't Nolan want a spot in the competition for Oppenheimer, but the festival said no? I would prefer both films in comp instead of some forgettable european filler. :celestial5: Nolan would've been perfect for Cannes, because he's releasing in July, Scorsese could've wait for Venice.
