is Jessica Lange's movie gonna be released this year? I can see that in contention.

yes she needs to be in Oscar conversation again. even if its just a nomination.

Long day journey into night is a great great play but it would be a bit boring for big screen cause all of the talking.

This year feels more exciting and fun, I feel like Wonka could get some noms, also AIR, The Killer, Asteroid City, Barbie might get for Best Costumes, Makeup or Production.

And don’t forget JLo’s The Mother is coming this year, imagine if she delivers and gets a nom!

Margot needs to stop aligning herself with overrated Gerwig

I’ve been predicting dune for bp for over a year now. Doesn’t make sense to switch now!

D2 could sweep the techs maybe. would need to be really revolutionary for ATL.

Oppenheimer is giving tech juggernaut that maybe squeaks into BP :celestial5:

oppenheimer will be nommed and then ignored just like dunkirk was. sad that nolan thinks war epics will bring him oscar glory when dunkirk, 1917, all quiet all went home with zero above the line wins :skull:

KOTFM and Oppenheimer both give early frontrunner with a stellar ensemble and tons of nom but an eventual BP flop. Really wouldn't be surprised if Scorsese or Nolan won Director and that was it.

idk how serious this film is, i just know EEAAO premiered at SXSW and that worked out so well for it...

Rooting for Nolan or Fincher to finally win Best Director, both will definitely SERVE. :clap3:

Yes, because at a time of heightened global conflict, everyone wants to sit in a theater for 3 hours and watch Cillian Murphy creating an atomic bomb while Nolan's sound design makes you question what's happening.

b/c he should do more tenets and interstellars instead?

Nah Oppenheimer is giving critics favourite that slows down to the point of flopping on BP except on all tech categories...

I'd keep an eye out for this film though, Ben Affleck, Viola Davis, Matt Damon, etc. are pretty big names to be featured on a fluke movie
