Almodusa Posted February 14 Posted February 14 Even though Olivia didn’t get the Oscar nom, I’m glad the song still had some success: Society of Composers & Lyricists Awards: Outstanding Original Song for a Drama or Documentary - WIN Hollywood Music in Media Awards: Best Original Song in a Sci-Fi, Fantasy or Horror Film - WIN Guild of Music Supervisors Awards: Best Song Written and/or Record for a Film - PENDING 3
sciencemagic Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I've had three weeks off between ending a job and starting a new one and the AMC Stubs A-List is coming super in handy with some of the BP noms returning to my theater! So far, I need to just see Past Lives and KotFM to have seen all the BP noms okay maybe it's recency bias because I saw Oppenheimer and Barbie the longest time ago (last summer) but the way those were kind of the least jaw-dropping films of the bunch and OpPANNEDheimer is likely going to win BP... I have to laugh so far: Excellent tier -- Zone of Interest, Anatomy, Poor Things Good tier -- Maestro, American Fiction, Holdovers Mid tier -- Oppenheimer Bad tier -- Barbie
Donquizote Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Predictions for Acting categories at BAFTA Best Actor: Paul Giamatti Best Actress: Emma Stone Best Supporting Actor: RDJ Best Supporting Actress: Danielle Brooks I think BAFTA winners have not matched up with Oscar acting categories since jury system. I'll surprised if they got 4/4 winners at BAFTA to also win at Oscar this year.
Donquizote Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Hoping that Legend Miyazaki wins his first BAFTA this Sunday
Donquizote Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I'm thinking that this year performance will once again triumph narrative. Emma/Sandra will pull Olivia Colman, Hilary Swank, and Anthony Hopkins at the Oscar

Can’t believe Ahr Dé Jé is stealing Messi’s Best Supporting Actor win like that and Sandra is a likely winner for BAFTA though a lot of people have switched to Emma after London Film Critics. She’s the default winner now but the Queen of Defenestration may come through
McNulty Posted February 17 Posted February 17 Sandra winning BAFTA is actually good for Lily's chances at the Oscars
Liafen Posted February 17 Posted February 17 3 hours ago, McNulty said: Sandra winning BAFTA is actually good for Lily's chances at the Oscars It shows that Emma is a bit vulnerable, but I do believe a Sandra win might even push Lily down to #3 as Sandra will be the biggest gainer.

Donquizote Posted February 17 Posted February 17 I love watching Perri and For Your Consideration team for Oscar prediction. But lately I've been annoyed with Jeff Sneider. He always looked drunk on podcast

fridayteenage Posted February 18 Posted February 18 emma's the globe winning main lead of a movie with 10+ oscar noms. the most comparable in the last decade would be, well, emma stone.
Tusk Posted February 18 Posted February 18 Is Gladstone tanking her chances with her complaints over football names?
