Watching Mission: Impossible - Dead Reckoning & The Creator over the weekend. I enjoyed them. Of these two, I thought TC had better visual effects and about similar in sound.

Soooo..... who's winning best actress? In my opinion, Emma Stone should get it.

Finally watched two more Best Picture nominees...

The Zone of Interest - very stylistic, very haunting, and disgusting I may say.... the camera movement (or the lack of)

Jonathan loves shots of people walking in long hallways and turning off lights. Haven’t spent the time to think about what it symbolizes.

Saw Past Lives and El Conde last night.

PL: I didn’t have this overwhelming reaction to it that most seem to have had, but I loved how realistic many of the conversations were. The two leads had such great chemistry, also felt very real. A very good “what if” film. With that said, not my personal favorite in either Picture and Original Screenplay.

EC: I appreciated the absurdity of it all. I’d say it was well shot and the B&W was good, but not my personal favorite in Cinematography.
