Priscilla looks absolutely stunning.

Cailee looks very luminous in Priscilla. It's gonna be Coppola's magnum opus.

Best Picture next for Poor Things?

Atp I wonder if A24 makes Priscilla their main push for the season. Zone of Interest is gonna be heavily reliant on critics circles and Past Lives kinda came and went. Priscilla probably has the highest ceiling in terms of nominations too.

past lives is the highest grossing non-franchise/bio drama this year. put some RESPECT on asian excellence's name.

This should happen, as well as Annette's long-awaited first victory. The film will be a typical emotional biopic, which the committee loves so much.

I like Emma and I now think that this is too avant-garde indie performance in the spirit of Kristen Stewart with "Spencer" (she will get recognition for it, but not an Oscar).

I don't really see Priscilla making any above-the-line noms, tbh. Sofia is too restrained for the Academy usually and the Best Actress race is insane.

Maybe I'll be pleasantly surprised.

1. Emma Stone, Poor Things

2. Margot Robbie, Barbie

3. Fantasia, The Color Purple

4. Cailee Spaeny, Priscilla

5. Carey Mulligan, Maestro

If Lily Gladstone (Killers of the Flower Moon) goes lead then she's clearly second and Mulligan is OUT.

There is an option that she will not be nominated: the role is very borderline with the rank of a supporting actress. :skull:

Every English-language Volpi Cup Actress winner performance from this century has made it to the Oscars (except Rose Byrne in 2000). At this point, it's an undeniable stat to not predict Spaeny tbh. I can see her snatching some cute critics awards too.

If they pull up this bullshit after Mulligan being the sole protagonist of Maestro's first official poster and getting her name credited first over Bradley. :rip:

Emi Li winning BA after Jié Mi Li snatched BSA? A concept, that Asian reign just won’t let up :clap3:

I feel like stats have flown out the window the last few years. The stats said Coda couldn’t win, and Blanchett would win a third.

and hungry hearts in 2014.

Venice obviously likes Sofia more than the US. They gave her the top prize the Golden Lion for Somewhere, which US awards ignored.

Tea, perhaps I jumped the gun lol :rip: Though I do think that Actress, a tech or two, and a theoretical screenplay nom could be a very nice package for it. Especially if it does cute in wide-release.
