Wouldn't be surprised if, in a few months, those anonymous voter interviews reveal that people have been pissed off by all the backlash to the point of giving them nothing. It isn't 2016 any longer. People have lost patience with this kind of emotional blackmail. I agree. Congrats to Flower Moon's Wahzhazhe on Best Original Song !
LastKiss Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 if Barbie takes adapted screenplay and picture just to give Margot and Greta an award
Arcadius Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 I’m crying I’ve heard everyone at work talking about the snub today. When the Academy throws in a last minute box office category like the Globes. Oh Margod your mind.
X~MoviePoP Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Fk it , ima say it. Barbie was mid and doesnt deserve half the noms its got this season. I could care less about greta and margot getting nominated. (They literally still got nominated but for other categories which alot of the GP isnt realising) 3
Dark Miracles Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 (edited) Bradley Cooper in a Netflix awards bait biopic, I just know the brown-nosing budget was gargantuan Edited January 24, 2024 by Dark Miracles 1
DanyelP23 Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 And the Oscar for Best Original Screenplay goes to: The first Oscar goes to Anatomy of a Fall The second Oscar goes to May December This would be a most pleasing outcome for me tbh. 2
its_britney_bitch Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 This is what happens when you let superhero schlock infest the main categories. A few years ago Barbie wouldn’t even be in the Oscars conversation
WildAmerican Posted January 24, 2024 Author Posted January 24, 2024 the hillary tweet people are just mad cause it's the one movie they saw this year 2
Kylizzle Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 America Ferrera winning after JLC would be so embarrassing for the Academy give Da'Vine her THINGS!

Cloudy Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 I hope Anatomy of a Fall wins everything. Specially Sandra what an incredible performance 4

Riot Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 This backlash makes me think that Margot Robbie might take home the SAG Award. It would be similar to Emily Blunt winning for A Quiet Place, which worked out perfectly for the non-SAG nominee Regina King. The Sandra Huller Oscar pipeline is here guys! 2

Kylizzle Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Neither Barbie or Oppenheimer should be in screenplay and I like both films 1
fridayteenage Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Robbie's snub has been compared to Arrival, but best comparison is actually Sideways. A film that ended up getting multiple supporting noms at the Oscars, but no lead nom despite a Sag nom (and a Globe nom). Both also comedies with Picture/Screenplay noms at the Oscars. 4
est. in 90s Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 Politicians weighing in on the Margot/Gerwig-gate. Oscars snubbing Robbie/Gerwig is lowkey serving one of the first iconic pop culture moments of 2024. The blowback from the GP is 1
futurenostalgic Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 that Hillary clinton tweet…. i literally need them to lose every single award from now on this isn’t even Greta’s best.
futurenostalgic Posted January 24, 2024 Posted January 24, 2024 (edited) do these LOSERS even realize that there is a definite precedence for director snubs for blockbuster BPs and also for high-nomination contending films… ong i’m fuminggg @ these casuals Edited January 24, 2024 by futurenostalgic
